I will be checking out my own local Paso Robles (SLO CAL) Distillery Trail next weekend. Really looking forward to seeing what our local central coast distillers are up to.
Phil and Julie, You did Oregon proud! What a great video showing off a little of what Oregon has to offer. Looking forward to the next hook up in Oregon Whiskey country.
Excellent content! Love the insight to each distillery, both of your reviews and how you sprinkle in all the little extra goodies! Very entertaining, Cheers!
What a fun video. Went to Willamette for wine several years ago and loved it! Dundee Hills in particular was just spectacular for both scenery and Pinot Noir. Great whiskey makes a return trip even more likely.
This was outstanding. So well done...so thoroughly enjoyed this. Love you highlighting your local distilleries. Hopefully in time, will see some of these great offerings in other parts of the country. Bonus content of the air and space museum was cool as well. Coming from an Air Force family, I have always been into that stuff. Looks like Mavis has a friend...lol. Thanks for taking us along...Cheers!
This was great! I enjoyed every stop. I really like it when you position the camera to follow you or the van and then run and retrieve it. Great videography!
I live in McMinnville and never heard of a couple of those places. I have never been to any of the tasting rooms because there only open on weekends and I work weekends. Love Ewing Young and Ransom the Emerald. Bull Run is putting out some amazing stuff.
We were surprised to discover that a couple of these distilleries are now keeping weekday hours, so they're a little easier to visit. Thank goodness for that, because if we tried to visit all of them in a weekend, we would have needed to hire a driver.
Great video, that trip looked like a blast. I gotta say, I love me some Ransom Spirits. The Emerald is a favorite, and the Old Tom Gin is very unique and often works well in whiskey type cocktails (rather than stereotypical gin ones).
“Wine not” I see the PunVan is back. 🤪 What a spectacular looking trip. The museum is great. The vineyards are great. Now there’s whiskey and gin? Might have to consider moving back to Oregon.
Indeed - what a great trip! What is that Brixeur Rye like aged in the Riesling casks - a little fruity or ??? Cheers! So that is where the Spruce Goose landed! I sailed for years in the Long Beach CA area and saw it a few times in that huge dome it was housed in. Fun!
It's a really flavorful sip. This was bottled at 113 proof. There is a strong fruit presence, but it also seems to highlight the rye and bring out a spice to balance the sweetness. We were impressed by the level of experimentation going on at each of the distilleries.
Nerd alert! Nerd alert! When the word triticale was mentioned I thought of Star Trek. You didn't find any Tribbles stowing away in your van did you? Sorry that's how my brain works sometimes. Looks like you had a great time and you are well stocked for the next week or two.
It would be a great place to tour on bike. There was a half marathon race going on while we were there, and if a spot had been available, Julie would have gone for it.
Great question. They are all quite different. Seems like they all have different focuses, from single malts to finished bourbon and everything in between.
We're based in Oregon and haven't heard of these bottles. Somebody just sent us a Hard Truth Rye that we're excited to check out, but we don't see a lot of Indiana whiskey out this way.
The price of these bottles ranged from $38 to $80. The MSRP changes all the time and these are craft distilleries in a tourist area, so they definitely don’t come cheap. That said, the experience of visiting them is worth the time and cost, in our opinion.

Great trip, thanks fro taking us along for the ride!
Oh my gosh we thoroughly enjoyed this. 😉 ❤
Thank you, Lezlie!
Between the scenery and the whiskey, you're really making me want to plan a trip to Oregon!
It’s worth it! And only 30 miles from Portland, so it’s easy to get here.
Phil and Julie, You did Oregon proud! What a great video showing off a little of what Oregon has to offer. Looking forward to the next hook up in Oregon Whiskey country.
Thanks, Darren! We’re really proud of this one. Cheers!
We had so much fun that day!
How cute is Carlton? What a great little town.
Thanks for sharing your journey through the whiskey trail. Enjoyed seeing the different places you stopped.
Great adventure! Thanks for sharing!☺
Cheers, Keith!
what an awesome adventure!
Cheers, Melissa!
Awesome video!
Thanks a lot, Bob!
You're making me thirsty,I'm not a big bottle fan but those Brixeur bottles are gorgeous.🥃
Yeah, we will definitely keep at least one of these for a decanter when it's empty.
Love it! Thanks for sharing. 🥃
Glad you like it, DK!
Excellent content! Love the insight to each distillery, both of your reviews and how you sprinkle in all the little extra goodies! Very entertaining, Cheers!
Thanks a lot, Joe! They all made us feel so welcome. This was a lot of hard work, but we're proud of the end result.
The timing of this vid is awsome. We're touring Oregon currently and will definitely partake with your Awsome advice. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Every place we went was worth the trip. Cheers!

Very much worth the trip. Cheers!

Thanks a lot, Russ! We felt like our hard work paid off on this one and we’re glad you agree!

Haha, it's my least favorite way to film, but people do seem to like it.
@@TheBourbonVan you betcha!
@@TheBourbonVan Ohh... I figured you were just letting Mavis drive. Is that not the next step after harness training? ;)
This looks like a fun tour!
Absolutely worth it to go!

Nice video, we’ll probably never get out that way so it was great to see everything
OMG that sounds like ice cream with hot fudge 🥃🍷👍

We knew very little about Ransom before we arrived, but we absolutely loved our time and tasting there.
Ransom!! I have their old tom gin that i use for Martinez cocktails. Great stuff
Love this video we will have to do that Whiskey/Wine trail! Thanks 🥃🤘🏼🍷
Wow…what a great little adventure, and so nicely presented to us! Well done and thanks, guys!
Thank you, Paul! The hard work was worth it. Even we enjoyed watching this one.
“Wine not” I see the PunVan is back. 🤪

Honestly, we're better at puns than whiskey.
@@TheBourbonVan 5-pun Fridays.
“To the guy who invented zero, thanks for nothing.”
This looks like so much fun! Do you ever come to AZ? You are welcome to come & stay😊
Hoping to pass through for the first time this winter.

LOL no Tribbles. I suspect Mavis would have captured them anyhow.
Sounds like another whiskey trail that's calling out to be cycled. I need to get my road legs back.
It would be a great place to tour on bike. There was a half marathon race going on while we were there, and if a spot had been available, Julie would have gone for it.
Look for a Illusionist gin from Germany at the liquor stores.
That's a pretty cool tour. Not very familiar with Oregon whiskeys. Any similarities of flavors or notes unique to them?
Great question. They are all quite different. Seems like they all have different focuses, from single malts to finished bourbon and everything in between.
How many miles are on the bourbon van ???
Just over 50k.
can you guys review indiana whiskey company products specifically the "just bourbon" bottle or " breakfast of degenerates" bottle

Did you say "wine not"?
Yes. 😬
