But I play 2k on pc and the only thing I remember is 2k14 was same as 2k13 on pc. There were just features improve. All graphics and gameplay was entirely same. They only paid attention on ps4

My all time favorite MyCareer. Decent enough story to keep 15 year old me invested and it didn’t completely overshadow the actual gameplay. For example, in 2k16s MyCareer didn’t you only get to play like 8 games in the first part

Agree completely. This game is PURRRTY!!!! I think 2k14 next gen is still fun to play and this is before player models went all Gumby on us. While the gameplay isn't as deep as the new 2k games, the foot planting was clearly better and of course stunning to look at. I also find it more exciting to play, regardless of the cheese play that happened sometimes, it's a bit arcadey, but i didn't care. The floating that goes on 2k19 is pretty bad specially when you see it slowed down too. The soundtrack in 2k14 was also one of my favorites. When I saw that trailer with In the Air Tonight By Phil Collins, I got so pumped, Since then, the soundtracks have been average at best.

Greatest 2k ever. I wish more people had ps4 when it came out. Park and mycareer was great. And outside of the alley oops on park and zigzag cheese (both had ways to stop it) the game really had nothing super cheesy. You could make your player 99 overall without having to log in 150+ hours and everyone on park was good. No one stepping off because you have a losing record. Honestly i wish 2k would just keep rereleasing this game with roster updates, I wouldnt even be mad.

NBA 2k14 next gen was so dope. The storyline was so fun and the lighting and graphics were sick. I loved how they gave you the ability to put designs in the hair (with some hairstyles). Man this game was a gem dude.

I think it's the thing about "how can we improve the graphics every year?" so they decided to nerf them so they would have room for improvement for the next couple of years.
I remember this being a next gen saler just because how amazing the graphics looked, no matter if you were a basketball fan or not. That's why they had to put so much effort in the graphics.

My first and favorite 2k honestly. Great mycareer mode before builds, and before everyone was 6’10 or taller, fire intro, great graphics, and just great overall. I miss it more and more

2K14 on last gen still has an active modding community! Modders are further improving it with realistic stats/gameplay, well executed plays(most common flaw on lastgen 2k games), much better globals, updated courts, dornas and scoreboards and even cyberfaces too. Updated rosters from these modders gave it a much longer lifespan for a last gen game. The list could go on for the mods and as a 2K fan, it's truely a gem!
The graphics were so clean! Players skin was so smooth and realistic. Simple. FUN!

2K13 was my favorite 2K by far. I had HOURS upon HOURS into that game. The game looked great, Head to Head was fun, you didn't have to pay for a good team/player on MyTeam or MyCareer since you could earn VC or MyTeam points at a great rate. I don't blame basic and boring menus or a lack of features because they had to produce 2 games at once and they were completely overhauling the game's engine because of the new console. There was plenty of cheese (1-3-1 zone, post spin, 3 pointers, canned, unblockable dunk animations if you had Posterizer or a high dunk tendency), but it was so much fun. It was fast paced and high scoring, while still rewarding good basketball compared to the slow, clunky game we have now. It's a shame that the series only went downwards after the first release on the next-gen consoles.

I use to say 2K11 was the goat 2K, but after playing this again years later and in better thought, this one is the greatest ever. If you love fundamental basketball and it’s purity, this game is for you. It aged well. But I still think the PS3 version is a lil better, of how the game feels.

Have people forgotten the unguardable posterizer badge driving dunk? I could literally get a bucket 99/100 times with Frobe or Michael Jordan or Lebron with just driving and dunking by triggering the posterizing animation....
I am still playing this game on pc. This has the best modding community out of all the 2k games. The ultimate base roster is in my opinion the greatest mod of all time. Shout out to hawk23 :)

It was like i stepped into a whole new world when i 1st got that ps4 and then got 2k14. Just the experience of playing Nba2k10 (missed out on 2k11)-2k13 on last gen and then jumping on the next gen was just sweet. I think the excitement for me on 2k hasnt been matched since this one.

in 2k14 it was very common to miss green releases. It wasn't like how it is today
There were no 'green releases' in 2K14. They added them in for 2K15 because people complained about missing too many open shots with an 'excellent' release, so 2K just took the easy way out and let every 'excellent/green' release go in

It got downgraded bc they wanted to focus more on my player and that greedy VC bs. Clearly that's the case given the status of the game now. 2k19 players ice skating around and graphics have so much less detail in face, skin, jersey, courts, etc not to even mention how the lighting is no where near as good as 14. Thanks my player and thanks to all the CLOWNS🤡 SUPPORTING IT EVERY YEAR. 🤦♂️🤮

Fond memories of playing this game in Alaska, no money and bored to tears, nothing to do, but my friend and his roommate bought a PS3 and 2k14. Smoke a few bowls then we would play 2k all night. Good times.
There were recaps and the PC version I had had a different loadup screen. I had the old layout. LeBron road to greatness was also in with the association for me. Like I said 2k14 was the best imo

One thing that always impressed me about this game was not only the first “next gen” game, but also how well the last gen game was even though it wasn’t as powerful as xb1 and ps4

BUT, Like I said previously, you really should’ve done a half review of last gen 2k14 and then a half review of next gen 2k14. Last gen was super fun and there was LeBron: Path To Greatness mode and all that Jazz. . You shouldn’t have left it out as if none of us got that one first before the next gen version came out a little later down the line .

@@KStreak 2k had been on PC at least since 2k11, but it was always buggier than it's console counterpart, and it didn't look as good graphics wise (especially regarding 2k12 and 2k13)
Yoooooo 2k14 on last gen was hype. There was the lebron path to greatness that was awesome. There was also a mode where you picked a legends team and played other people in a tourney. Me and my friends would do that for hours. It was always cool seeing the teams combos
