1,500 bags of groceries for the Negril community

- The community of Negril was certainly not spared in respect to the impact the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the most vulnerable in our societies seem to have been the most severely impacted. The Negril Chamber of Commerce understood very early that many of it's community members would be hurting in the worst way due to the lockdown of Jamaica. As an organization the Negril Chamber decided to do it's best to help community members.
In partnership with the Tourism Enhancement Fund (TEF), the Negril Chamber took the initiative to organize over 1,000 grocery and produce filled care packages to distribute to Negril community members most in need. This video illustrates the coordination, togetherness and effort it took to organize and execute such an endeavor. Though the Chamber has helped over a thousand community members on this day there are still many people in need at this time.

Thank you so much for your offer. This was done through the Negril Chamber of Commerece which I do not think is a charitable organization. However if you are interested I can connect you with local Negril non profits that are doing fantastic work in the community that could use the help

Nice to see people pulling together. My wife and I really miss Jamaica and the people. We were in Negril in January and we were going back in April but had to change our plans. Now we are supposed to travel this November but I don't know if that will work out. Jamaica seems to have their act together as far as controlling the virus.

Initially it was 1,000 packages organized but if you watch until the end you will see we were able to put together an additional 500 packages
