I have the same model that stayed for 20 years and 2 days ago i started it for the first time and has the same sound! I also found the technic book for it and 2 spare spark plugs Nice engine 1.6 hp and 4500 rpm
@count123hahaha um this one hadn't been started for over 30 years and all I did was checked the air cleaner screen was clear of blockages such as wasp nests etc, freed up the starting clutch mech, and filled the tank with premix! I guess I got lucky - I never even checked the spark plug or spark!
I had one the same year 1978 got it for my 16th Bday,Mine was not as fancy,No speedo or rear suspention road it everywhere for about 2 years then sold it for $75 to help by my first car!
Hello! I just bought a Gary Garelli (uno) and when I push the pedals the piston doesnt move, I can pedal all i want but piston dont move. Any ide what is wrong. I have never worked on these engines before.
@@johnstyles100 Thank you, I was googling alot and found out that there are some bushings that should be in rubber in the clutch also. They are completely gone on my engine so I guess thats why it doesnt work when I pull the lever. On my its the lever under the brake so maybe someone changed it. Its supposed to be the top lever for that?
@@danielnaslund2991 yes I think you are right (sadly I didn't get to keep this garelli so my memory of it is fading..) - the starting clutch lever would be the one that is angled differently to the front brake lever.
youtoob bloody blows!! Sent me threatening emails about copyright cause the radio was on in the background - wouldn't let me monetise my only popular video and now I see it has adds but I don't ever receive a cent! bloody koksuking scammers! - and they keep asking for my phone number when they already fcuking have it! I never gave it to them... Yes I am cross.

I had a Garelli in the 1980's. I had to occasionally clean away carbon deposits from the exhaust ports. Other than that, I had no trouble with it.

Hi Daniel, when you want the pedals to turn the engine pull the starting lever in (top left lever - the one above the rear brake).

Clutch lever is under front brake lever. Would need to redo clutch with new bushings and 13 oz oil. Next step would be to check the Piston and rings.
they were great bikes so to was the puch maxi
Clash ... background music 👍
it is somehow (hydraulicly?) speed limmited so that it simply will not ever exceed 40kph in stock form no matter how hard you try!
what kind of speed does that thing with that gearing
around 40 km/h
