Big tune!! Big up the 1996 Jungle pirate radio stations in London that supported this sound. I'd literally hear tunes like this, tape it off of pirate radio and go record shops looking for it. Out to the Kool FM, Rinse FM, Eruption FM and Pressure FM listeners. 1996 was a big year!!
@@aaron.aaron.v.b.9448 The thing with dub plates are they first method of testing how a tune drops and how the crowd and people liked it. Only a select few DJs would be allowed to cut dub plates by producers with some DJs having unreleased exclusive tracks. Once tunes were played on dub plates then producers were getting their tunes on Test Press for more DJs to test and after that they may release it on White Label at limited amount before attempting to release it on vinyl with a proper label. There were a lot of dub plates that never got released of course and dub plates are what made a lot the elite DJs have an exclusive selection.
DJ Hype and MC Fearless Syrous July 1996 brought me here. On my other RUclips profile, that mix is uploaded. This is the first track DJ Hype drops in that mix!
My first drum and bass experience... so glad to find it.... noooo it finds me ....seriously that was the fist DNB music that I heard and i can not explain how nostalgic I am now. Thank you!!!
Remember this getting rinsed on the og one in the jungle show back in the good old days when Wilber Wilber force did the show !!! Some serious nostalgic memories!!!
Love it!! Love the artwork too!! Not not is also a track. Dope Dragon around 96 and 97 was pure fire. Big up the Bristol crew for representing the scene. It was truly a UK thing!!!
I don't have much but this plate is in my arsenal too. Might have to shroud it in a gold case one day!!! This track needs infinite reloads!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I look forward to everytime i get a RUclips notification telling me you have put up new content Bob, this tune was an anthem at my local club which i went to regularly you have just taken me back to being 19 again and for that my god bless you sir👍
awesome!! i remember dropping this into one of my sets, years ago, the crowd went bananas and the MC'S were chatting like crazy over it!! had to rewind it about 3 times!!! TOP BOMBING!!!!
Ryan Narce can’t see it on discogs, must have been a dub. It was a much darker and atmospheric mix of it. Trust me it exists tho dude. Been raving since 91, collected tapes and still collecting vinyl for nearly 30yrs
You may be looking for DJ Trace "Definition of Living". It has the same vocal sample. Unreleased (sadly) dubplate. Super underground riddim, played at the clubs rocking the darker sound BITD. Wicked track, much more my style than this.
