CPU Zangief One Hit KO Glitch vs Sagat (Super Street Fighter 2)

I got it to consistently happen by doing a back throw and then doing a low/medium tiger knee fullscreen while Gief was waking up.
Not sure what causes it though.

Edit: Doing this setup in Super Turbo causes a crash, with Gief's music still playing.
