I'm back with a beautiful Nobuo Uematsu theme I never played before~ I really love this piece but never learnt how to play it before; a follower called Stéphane Yauy recently requested this piece so I decided it was time to record it hehe~
I'm playing an amazing arrangement made by Vincent Lo / @audiomuse based on the vocal version of this theme that was featured in FFIV for Nintendo DS c: Some parts are actually a bit more tricky to play than it might look, I hope you like my performance of it! 💙

One of the most important FF tracks to me. FFIV is the reason I love video games.
You and me both. FFIV was my actual first RPG. My friends thought me nuts for loving this game. They couldn't grasp what made it interesting. But I remember how it resonated with me and how the music was such an important part of it. Uematsu was a master of his art.
That's awesome ;_; FFVII was my first FF game so I wasn't able to play FFIV when I was a child, still I've known and loved this theme for many many years, it's such a memorable piece!
I love how you let the notes hang out. Don't listen to those telling you to make it faster, let the notes stretch!

I enjoy including pauses, rests and playing a bit with the tempo~ I understand it's a matter of preference and I know my way of playing this piece would be much different if I played this next year, I'll keep evolving and changing my way of playing so I might prefer playing it faster in the future, who knows hehe
Thanks! The slower tempo here adds to the gravitas of this track. I know nothing about musical terminology so I'm sorry if this only makes sense to me, but these "long notes" that die on their own are something that I like a lot in the FFIV soundtrack (notably in the Zeromus battle theme)

I've heard a lot of people cover this inlcuding Uematsu himself multiple times but this has to be among the greatest especially since it is supposed to be played on a harp which I have also heard people play this song on congratulations on a wonderful cover it is every bit as moving as when I first heard this as a kid

I used to sing (well sorta hmmm hmmm the song) this soundtrack to my son (and later to my daughter too) to put them to sleep when they were babies. FFIV is a very special game to me. It has the best soundtrack ever (IMHO) and your rendition of the Theme of Love gave me literal goosebumps and has moved me. Thank you, cheers, stay safe and I'll be back ten thousand times to hear it again for many years to come.

Hey nicely done-you brought out he melodic line! It’s not easy to do with all those overlapping voices. Personally I would have played it a tad faster and less rubato to make it flow more, but your interpretation is unique. To each ones own.
