A big guy buys a FWD compact turbo hatchback, and his 3 of his 5 complaints are that it's FWD, small, and not a 400HP performance car. I had a 2013, Matte Gray, and LOVED it!. His only real complaint, is the lack of rearward visibility. With the rear seat headrests in place, you literally have about 2 sq ft of rear window to see out of. The blind spots could hide the planet Jupiter behind you. The lack of rearward visibility is how my Veloster got totalled. A woman on her cell phone came flying up behind me in a 25mph zone at over double the legal limit, and she was in my blind spot as I tried to switch lanes, we met in a bad way. Don't whine about features of a car you knew about BEFORE you bought it.
Yeah, the blind spots are a little concerning. I am 6'4" and I have to duck a little to see behind me. The new ones had blind spot monitors, so that is a bonus. I haven't driven mine enough to really care about the limited visibility. But I also am overly cautious when changing lanes with it right now.
I love my turbo. I hate when the engine winds when u push it hard. My is 2016 201 hp.. love the seats and quick. Never buy a car that's not comfortable.. loss the weight or get a Buick DUDE
I got the VT because I love the car! the power is easily fixable and I mentioned in the video the seats would break in and they did. I have no real issues with the car, I like making videos about the car. just trying to get my channel out there man!
I went to see if it could be fix they have no recalls for this problem the trunk should pop when you use the remote it don'tand the dealer never said a word about it
Tim Gagne the button on the remote is just to unlock only the trunk( it's stupid, I know) I thought the button would pop the trunk too but all it does is unlock it
i understand and i love my car too its just some of the things you listed were a little much but i do understand you love your car and i love mine too i wash mine 2-3 times a week because it is my first car and i love it as if it my own child btw i do love your content
Wasn't an impulse buy, I love the car! Looked and researched for a long time. Everyone has things they dislike about a car and clearly the video says that I had to nitpick about things I didn't like.
The thing is...you knew of these "grievances" before you bought the car. It's not like these things are suddenly news...and if they are, then you should really pay more attention before making a big purchase 🤷🏽
TheDarkHatch So what's the difference between the different hp levels? I see at the wheels, at the crank, etc. all the time but never really know the difference
Jackson kavanagh at the crank is how much horsepower your engine puts out before the power is distributed. At the wheel is how much horsepower that actually makes it to the wheels. Hope I helps some!

I hate that you don’t enjoy it. Ironically, the size is one of my most fav features. It fits my petite frame perfectly.
These are not things that are wrong with the car... you just bought the wrong damn car. You should have realized all of this on the first test drive.
Lol right? Everything he hates about it is preference issues not even legit problems with the vehicle. 🤣
#5 the back up cam and side mirrors are your best friends in this car. make sure your mirrors are propperly adjusted, and learn to trust both.
Kevin Volk totally got used to it by now, had a Yukon do before this and was used to large windows all around.
You did test drive the car ... right?
Test drove it and love it! I don't buy things that I do not enjoy. It's Just a video.
OK. Yeah I know that sometimes after time an owner begins to see things more clearly.

That's awesome! I can't wait to start modding mine! Enjoy your VT!
“I hate that it’s fwd, just make it rwd, it’s not that hard” bruh it’s a hatchback...
Foreal that's how you know he's not a real car guy. If you wanted a rwd car why would you buy a cheap economy hatchback?
shouldn't it be 201HP on the turbos?
To the crank there 185 to the wheels intake, downpipe, exhaust and tune your will over 200 to the wheels
whine whine whine - you must be such a joy to be around
podiumguy100 oh I am a joy to be around! How'd you know?
only car that has 3 doors lol !! I mean there is no such thing 3 doors except this car. very unique!
Actually that's not true. The Mini Cooper Clubman also is a 3 door car. I had one
The Mazda RX8 has 3 door 😮
Then why did you get the veloster it's common sense on the power also the seats you didn't check it out before buying ?

Annamarie Puntalba glad I'm not the only one haha the seats aren't an issue anymore once I broke them in lol

Haha! All these comments are asking why you bought the Veloster but there are even some things that you'll hate about a Ferrari!!
Aaron Andres amen! Haha you'll always find something to not like. Glad someone else sees that! 😂
ahhh a classic love hate relationship lol
my argument from day one has been why not just use the 2.0 turbo sonata motor?
tuhjuhbuh glad I'm not the only one who thought they needed to slap the 2.0 Turbo in there lol
GRC/WRC restrictions, veloster started as a rally car
If you don't like it... You should trade it in. My 2016 turbo has get up and go.
better call the WAMBULANCE!
B. Smith get this man some French cries stat!
TheDarkHatch 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
It has 195 pound-feet of torque not 175

lol
The seat are for normal size people, if anything you need a bigger bucket seat
R0ckstrmik3 I agree I need a bigger bucket seat, drove 4 hour straight and my legs about fell off haha
Or a Gym membership haha :P. Kidding of course, you look fit.
cry me a river... whoah.... all these things were obvious during your pre-purchase.
I hope you realize that you cannot compare a veloster to a genesis because a veloster is a compact car and a genesis is a luxury car
You bought the wrong damn car. Lol RWD hatch!? And why would Hyundai make it RWD when they have the Genesis.
I don't like the hatch back on real cold days it won't open

I'd rather have awd in a car like this than rwd
Hemant Sathian awd would be way better anything instead of fwd haha

why tou buy the car???
Ultimately Because I love the car!
I hate the same things about my car wow!
Marino Reyes guess I'm not the only one! 😂
simple answer. Get a Genesis coupe? lol
spit fire that would be a simple fix... if I wanted a genesis.haha Love the VT, wouldn't pick a different car!
could of at least looked for an R-spec VT tho
spit fire closest one was another state away and it wasn't worth the drive haha
#2 the veloster turbo has 202hp you are talking about the normal veloster
GNZ MeRc 201
oh sorry but still its in the 200's
GNZ MeRc it's 201 crank. the NAV is 138 crank and like 117 wheel.
