This was the 1st Kaiju movie to make me really feel the threat of a Kaiju on a human level. Godzilla is a force of nature, like an earthquake or a flood, disrupting and often times ending lives dispassionately. Serious question time: If Gamera is our friend, why didn't Gamera protect Kōichi and co. from Godzilla? Should we hate Gamera now?
