Brings back memories of fenced built in my life on the farm and those I worked with , Alvin Stubs, Robert Reid, Mark Lenover, a straight fence line was the standard, got a good eye for that
Lewis Jonas and me chop brush set amany a post with posthole diggers on more then one ranch with my old pickup colder then you know what but took pride and did some fine work old shorty would have been proud of it .miss working With old lewis i don't think i seen many a men work so hard just a real cowboy.
As a sergeant in the Army I had a soldier who had an infuriating saying he always said when I called him doing a job just well enough, not excellent as was expected from my superiors and I. He would always say, "That's the best I am gonna do." Never the best I CAN do. He was a good kid. Not a bad troop, but he had a terrible work ethic. He could have learned alot from a talk with Shorty.
Heard this poem today and found it quite enjoyable, good lessons here that speak to you
