From your experience, what are some of the reasons you've experienced or find that new shrimp keepers struggle on? Let's share and discuss with the community so we can learn from each other. Although it's true no 2 aquariums are alike, it's still good to hear some experiences of each other Thanks for taking time to listen to my rambles about planted shrimp tanks, keeping and breeding
Despite all of my failures, I've managed to keep jade green shrimp for the past few years descended from 10 I bought from a breeder. Some of my failures include: thinking housing shrimp with a betta or a goldfish was fine (not only were some eaten, I didn't get to see my shrimp much anymore), trying to add Indian green shrimp in with my jade green neocaridinas (they all died over a month), growing daphnia with shrimp (dead within hours), and I've never had much luck with moss.
Oh thanks for sharing your experiences. I'm acutally ge5ting some green balbulti next month and will let you know how it goes. Wishing you success in your aquarium adventures!!
@RWAquariumPages They seem more shy than neocaridina and their colours ranged from lime green to autumn brown. There's very little content on them and I look forward to when you can speak to their husbandry.
thx for the kind words, the linage is from x2 in taiwan but sadly, there are many culls or varied patterns in my tank that bred full of them, a little bit fustrating, but i knew that going getting into red fancy tigers
Yeah, letting the tank be is probably the number one thing for. Too much attention and changes causes issues. Over loving the tank is like overwaterng a plant
That's a very great analogy. Talked to a few friends and when I go on vacation for a few weeks , the shrimp acutally do better. Thanks for the comments!
