I've watched Lou Collins videos and i agree that she's very talented. Your efforts at this technique look fabulous too. I love the look of these cards as they're so interesting and different. Works of art!
Oh my. That’s a very different style than your usual projects. What an interesting mix of colours. I love your leaf stamp. It’s really textured. Thank you for another inspiring video. - Dawn 🌅
I do love Lou's mixed media and I think you did a super job of bringing that effect to life. I'm also hesitant to do the dark colours but it really does make the images pop. Well done.
I saw Lou’s video and love your take on it- both beautiful, yet so different. I’m not surprised Gummiapan is sending you things. I know I’ve bought lots from them after seeing your videos and I imagine others have too. They have such lovely things, I’m grateful for your recommendation. I have a 2nd parcel from them due any day!🤗🇦🇺
Two fabulous cards using this heat embossing and watercolour technique. I love the green and grey tones and the pop of orange using Rusty Hinge is really great Chrissie. I went and had a look at Lou's video too and both versions of the technique are equally beautiful.. I must try it out soon. x
Hi. I'm so glad that you didn't ask everyone to pick a favourite from these lovely cards that you've made as there are elements that appeal to me on each of them that would make it an impossible choice! You sound a fair bit better than you did. Hopefully you are over the worst of your cold now. Thank you for sharing your super cards and video and here's to a few more bright, sunny days!😊
I’m not sure what you mean, the embossing was shiny, I just wanted to add a little shine to the oxides on the petals to tie in with the shine of the embossing.
Love Lou and this technique she has come up with, but have to say i very much love these floral versions you have created. I would so really very much see a video on how you made the bright colourful orange one, the bright colours just take it onto a totally different look. x ❤x
Thank you so much! The process for that one was the same as the one in the video, but the colours used were Scattered Straw, Ripe Persimmon, Cackling Campfire and Fired Brick, plus the Hickory Smoke and Black Soot.
Such a terrific technique ! How much fun to just sit and see what you can do....even those of us who aren’t artists! Thank you for sharing this! 💕🙋♀️🇺🇸
The video is fuzzy on my end sadly but I can get the gist. I love Lou’s videos as well. Great job Christine. You do such a good job of explaining as you go. 👍❤️
Hello Christine. J avais regardé la vidéo de Lou. Ça n est pas ma Tech ique préférée mais ca change ! Je préfère les feuilles faites sur la vidéo car le fond est plus marqué donc moins de fondus que dans celle faite hors vidéo. 😊. Bonne soirée et merci 👏👋👋👋👋
Love this idea. I resisted oxides and even when I got some I didn’t use them much. Now i mainly only use oxides the ordinary distress have their place but I find I rarely touch them now.
This technique has so many possibilities..I just purchased some white embossing powder…can’t wait to try this with some of my favorite stamps..I usually do freehand watercolor cards and have some Arches paper. And watercolors. So as you say…show the dog the rabbit…and I’m off.
i am not a smoosher of ink but I do like how your cards turned out. They are interesting and definitely mixed media. I my end up trying something like that I just have to be willing to get messy and I already get messy with scraps when I start to get creative. Thanks for sharing.
I have watch the video that Lou had up loaded and I have to say you have done a wonderful job in recreating it. Love the cards you have made using Lou’s technique with the gummiapan stamps. Thank you for recreating the video after discovering it had not recorded which must have been frustrating it’s most appreciated. Take care.
These are lovely but still out of focus for me. I’d already watched Lou’s video so had an idea what to do beforehand. The Gummiapan stamps are great for this technique and I love the colours you’ve chosen❤❤❤
@@Chrissieannie I've tried it on my android phone, with wifi and using my data, and also on my ipad and Microsoft desktop computer. All are a bit out of focus. It might be my eyes but other videos, such as Lou's, are clear, and the photos you post of the finished cards are as well. Hopefully it's just me and not other subscribers who also have this issue. It seems to me it comes from zooming in via editing but that's just a guess. Not to worry; I'll still watch you however it looks on my screens. You are such an inspiration😍.
@@suemsearch I'm going to have to get too the bottom of this. It seems to have been since I have been editing on my MacBook. I have not changed any settings on my phone camera!🤔
I took your advice Chris and had a go at this technique. My own personal twist to it was I used a grunge Christmas tree stamp by Visual Image.I don't have distress oxides so used regular distress inks. I added some sparkle with clear Wink of Stella. I dont know how or where to share it with you?
Beautiful! It is endless what can be created with a little ingenuity to our stamps with oxides! Fascinating!❤
I totally agree!
Great job...love it...Lou is great I have been following her for a very long time.......thank you for sharing.....
Thanks for watching!❤️
Oh Christine they are amazing. Love them. You coloured them so nicely. Thanks as always for sharing.
Glad you like them!
Just as amazing as Lou's card! Love how yours came together Chrissy, they are all gorgeous. Hugs, Brenda
Thank you so much!💚💚💚

Those cards are beautiful. So soft and ethereal. Off to watch Lou's version now. Have a wonderful weekend Christine and thank you.
Thank you! You too!😊
I watch Lou and love her five minute videos, it's surprising how much she can do in that time. Thanks for sharing.❤
Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much Dawn ❤️❤️❤️
Such an interesting technique. At first, I thought the leaves were raised somehow. Beautiful.
That's the idea behind the colouring... to give perspective to the stamped images.
Beautiful image! I really love the way the leaves fall and the background on the stamp.
Thank you so much!❤️
Beautiful cards and such fun to watch the process.
Glad you enjoyed it!❤️
Great technique and that black soot really makes it pop. Love the flower one. I’m going to pop over to Lou’s and see her version. Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks so much ❤️❤️❤️
Lovely technique Christine I fancy maybe using Christmas foliage stamps thank you for bringing this idea to our attention.👏
You are so welcome!

Another technique with lovely results, Christine! Something I can try without having to hunt for things I need…aka flakes, for one!
Thanks ❤️
I wanted to try this after watching Lou's video, now I Really want to try. Beautiful results Christine, I love them all!
Go for it!
What amazing cards. Thankyou as always ❤️

You reheat the embossing you have done that will bring the shine back.
I’m not sure what you mean, the embossing was shiny, I just wanted to add a little shine to the oxides on the petals to tie in with the shine of the embossing.
@@Chrissieannie ah, sorry I misunderstood. Your cards were lovely.
💜💜💜 very, very pretty! It seems as though the focus was fuzzy.
I'm sorry about that
I love this!! Such a great technique but that little touch of rusty hinge really sets it off.
Thanks so much! 😊
Holding my breath as you pulled the ink around the tiny edges… thank you for sharing your beautiful technique from your friend
