I loved the Atlantic stuff back in the 80's. I even had all of the wargames at one point. With the exception of the ambulance and the flak 38, I only had 1/72 scale....... What fun it was to collect the packs!
Aw man, the Atlantic Landing Craft was one of the first 1/72 minis I ever bought. I got over their "scale problem" pretty early on and quickly found Airfix and Matchbox!
Great show. Such a delight to see old toys. Finally, I get to see the Atlantic Range, thank you for this. I am so glad I did not receive any of this garbage for Christmas when I was a kid. They toys do look pretty bad. A friend of mine got some of these things and we spent hours shooting at them with our Air Rifles. We burned them. We put fireworks under them. Turns out, the toys were useful for something at least.
@@toysoldiernostalgia True, but I have seen plenty of limbless. bald and melted Barbies in my time. It may not be about the 'ugly'. Girls can be just as weird as boys.
Atlantic blue ! A classic! I had tons of Atlantic figs back in italy i love the antique civilization and the westerners one...of the ww2 german and indians. I had plenty of veickes in small scsl an a base and aircraft c. Dets
A very fun little Video. I got some of these as a kid but in 1/72 scale. We were a some families going to ski in France. We kids went nuts for these crazy toys impossible to get in Sweden. I remember I was very sceptical to the tractor/kettenkrad though😂
The strange vehicle that you compared with the SchwimmingWagen is actually part of a "Kettenkrad" (a motorcycle tractor, used to transport the pilot and two soldiers and tow cannons). What you have is well out of scale, as it is as if they had removed the front part of motorcycle part and placed the pilot inside the engine.😅 Hugs
Very nice I collect 1/72 Atlantic- can totally identify with your son - I play Russians in Team Yankee, Germans in flames of war and Empire in X-wing… Hard to win but very satisfying when you do 🙂 Great video had 1/72 Atlantic chi-ha tank oversized but wished I still had it - could use it for 28mm scale.I am going to use made in Hong Kong ( Helen of toy forts and castles for 15mm) love incorporating old plastic toy soldiers in wargaming- have Atlantic Roman and Egyptian armies. Thanks again for your video All the best from down under Lewis Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
You all belong to the dark side. Heard you have cookies lol. The Atlantic 1/72 ancient series are AMAZING. Don´t have any as yet but it´s on my list. Lots of cash for the big sets though.
As a kid we had extreme preduduse against 1/32 or 35 . Two reasons for this , if your seriousely building an army , 1/72 /6 is easier to store and organize , it gives you far more options of locations , available to you to play . The next reason , was ithat scale was a very obvious difference between what WE did , vs. the grocery store toy soldiers , that we looked down on , and they were roughly 1/35 . We got complicated in our play , so 1/72/6 was the only way to go .
Hello que tal muy buenos los videos, lástima que en mí pais no llegan esos soldados y armamentos. Te sigo y veo los videos me parece genial, te mando un gran abrazo desde Buenos Aires Argentina
I'm Italian, I'm in my 60's so I perfectly know Atlantic soldies and vehicles, I had hundreds of them (1/72) of all kinds, as I had hundreds of Airfix figurers same scale (maybe thousands!) Usually Atlantic are described as a very poor product, not accurate not historically accurate and so on, and to some extent they were, BUT the were also meant to be TOYS, toys for KIDS, nothing less nothing more, and I can assure you they did their job! 😀
I totaly agree. They are awesome toys and the two 1/72 sets I had as a kid I used a lot. I just wish I had gotten their Wild West sets which I think is the best they made. Ciao
Kanskje på tiden 😀 Keep it going 👌☺️

They're nice TOY vehicles.
Great, i remember some of these, in 1:72 scale ... when I bought them, here in Italy they cost 100 lire a box ... thanks for sharing !!!
Lol they cost a lot more these days.
Nice set of vehicles and soldiers.

I have some of these in my collection and my grandson plays with them alot we love these "funky" Atlantic toys.😊
The box art 'artist' was excellent, the sculptor not quite so!
Lol I totaly agree.

I wish I could afford all the ancient 1/32 scale sets. They are super cool.
@@toysoldiernostalgia I had a lot of soldiers like everything esci made and a lot of Atlantic...the colosseum it's epic!
The driver of the blue boat looks as though he is stepping, very gingerly, over a minefield!
Lol you´re right.

Ebay is your best bet. Pretty expensive though.
@@toysoldiernostalgia ah yes I see
Nice 1/32 scale collection! I'm waiting for 1/72 scale vehicles (if you have any).

Does it float? Did your kid try it out in a bathtub or similar? The Schwimmwagen I mean.
I doubt that It will float. But maybe I should try it.

Это настоящий Клондайк!
Yes they are pretty cool.
Never saw Atlantic before what country are they from? I think the quality of them really makes you appreciate how good Matchbox and Airfix were
They were from Italy. What they lack in quality they make up for in fun.
@@toysoldiernostalgia Ah right explains why I never saw them in the UK
Where do u get all of ur toy soldiers
Mostly Ebay but some on a swedish auction site called Tradera. Some I get of Facebook groups.
Woa
The Atlantic company exists today?
No they went out of buiseness in the early 80s.
Atlantic were games for childs, not models
Absolutely. But they could have made them the same size at least 😃
But don´t get me wrong I love Atlantic toy soldiers.
Loved the ancient ranges that atlantic made and the far west range.....but ww2 as we say in the UK wot a load of fecking crap.
Thanks for the video. These have to be the worst military miniatures that I have ever seen. How in the world did this company stay in business.
Low prices :)
For me, it was either Esci, Airfix, or Marx.
Bonjour C'est vrai ATLANTIC était capable du pire comme du meilleur mais c'était quand mieux que le made in china d'aujourd'hui
Eventhough at times they did some pretty bad figures a lot of times they were actually real nice.
Always better then chines figures for sure.
Their World War II sets were always rubbish
So shit-the models not the channel lol
