Please stop comparing Relic guitars to buying a new car & asking for it to be smashed up a bit. Think of it more like buying new shoes & asking for them to be broken in. Its also a huge visual thing - some people love it, some people hate it, but the visual is so subjective no opinion is right or wrong. Lets make love not war people :)
I had a relic'd partscaster and it is the single best guitar I have ever owned in my entire life. Selling it is also the single BIGGEST REGRET I have. Having a guitar that feels and looks broken in does wonders for the creativity and drive to continue making music.
I played that closet classic last week, and hands down, it was the best Strat I have ever played! and after 40 years of playing, that's quite a few! acoustically, it wasn't just loud, it was deafening! someones going to be VERY happy with that! thanks for looking after me last week guys, I have now experienced the fantastic Andertons customer service! second to none!🙂
That first strat looked so authentic, I could imagine the worker in the factory adding those scratches one scratch at a time. Musical history like that you just can't put a price on.
Deym, the 6th Guitar is like a guitar from heaven falling down to earth and gather scratches and dings on the way down. Gold Sparkle Heavy relic is my fave. How lucky is the one who bought that.🤘🎸
Judging from the choices made, and Lee's Face, as he saw them, That's the last time Pete get's to Order from Fender Custom Shop, Master Builders, on his Own? Out of all of them, there's 4 nice ones, and 2 the same, and a couple Of No Chance's
I just realized how good the Dane is......such deep expression and pure tone and emotion. The two tele's with the neck P90's (Gold one, Black one) sounded AMAZING ! The gold strat and the candy red strat had that 'single note lead tone' vibe in spades.
These Fender custom shop videos do 2 things very, very well: 1) Highlite Fender's trail blazing instruments 2) Andertons ( The place to buy ) itself. Thx for the great video.
As someone aged late 60s, I still can’t get my head around the Fender custom shop making a beautiful guitar look all bashed about. I always grumble at myself whenever I make a ding or scratch on any of my guitars; however they are my own scratches and wear marks.
I think for people that resell guitars, having it factory bashed up does not devalue it as much as you dingning your own guitar, which is an intersting dichotomy in the guitar world.
About 5:35 in, there’s a strat that looks like antique olive(?) with a tortoiseshell pick guard and maple fretboard. Literally my dream guitar look 😍😍😍
Thank you Captain for the unboxing video and special thanks to Danish Pete for his demo guitar playing. In a world filled with heavy metal and insane shredding is was refreshing to hear that sweet music and the wonderful feeling of being in love are timeless and essential to being truly alive and at peace as a human being. Shout out to LEO whose vision of what a guitar could be we are all still enjoying, in fact now more than ever!
Thank you two for everything you do. Most of all, it’s making me excited about guitar stuff, which makes me want to play more. It’s really the best compliment a guitar player can give. 🤟
Room 101 is from Orwell’s 1984 prisoner torture chamber where absolute dominance of the subject is achieved it came from conference room 101 at the BBC where Orwell endured tortuous meetings. Later it became the 90s radio show room 101 where celebrities would have the opportunity to consign their least favourite thing, it subsequently moved to TV
So, between fender and Gibson, who makes the best custom shop guitars? NOT considering different pickups and sounds and that LP’s are LP’s and Strats are strats, we all know they are completely different guitars, BUT, just the quality and attention to detail and love that goes into making the pinnacle guitars of each company?
Don’t know if your near London, I have family there. If you are, I’ll come in & buy the whole f’n place. Followed by me, you & the Jedi goin’ out and burnin’ down the town. These guitars are STALLIONS, All of them are dope AF, -crazy good guitars with RAD pickups. DAYUM💯
I get some people don't like relics... But it's just like buying a distressed pair of jeans or t shirt. Sure, not everyone likes it... But enough people do like it for guitar companies to keep doing em. Relics certainly feel better than a new shiny guitar
Pete is just a class act, well done Lee for bringing him into the team. What's happened to Dave Simpson's slot, I know he's a bit whackey but I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking please don't let him go.
Amazing playing Pete! Just a little suggestion I guess (obviously you guys know how to sell a guitar better than anyone) but maybe play with a little more “bite” when showing the guitars? The chords and more delicate playing sounds beautiful and is very useful to hear, but I’m also longing for a super fat overdriven Stevie Ray Vaughan type tone to hear how the guitar performs in both settings. Again, amazing playing Pete!
Gorgeous woodwork on the PRS. Me? I have an aluminum neck coming to put on my Squier Tele Deluxe. (Which is going to be ship of Theseus level silly as I replace everything but by bit)
I want my guitars to either look like high-quality tools or gaudy 1980s/1960s Italian madness. Personal taste. But I’d never spend more than 3k for a guitar, myself. Maybe 5 for some insane custom thing, but I’d build my own for less by then.
That last guitar, the white relic Strat sounded amazing - but.. I don't like the look.. it's pretty ugly to me but the sound is incredible ! It's like an ugly girl that rocks your world and you can't get away from ! 😍
That poison-apple red thing is effing beautiful.. One of these days, faded candy-apple red sparkle, medium relic thank you please. Now all I need to is be able to play better than someone who's had both hands surgically replaced by horses hooves.

I used to think that it wasn't right to relic guitars but now my opinion is the exact opposite. I MUST own one!!! 😂😂😂
In the US you can get a brand new custom built car, modified into a monster but it has an aged look.
Classic sleepers.
I think it's cool.
analogy doesn’t work, the guitar isn’t broken in, its still brand new lol.
No , would you pay an extra £2000.00 for broken in shoes 🤣
I had a relic'd partscaster and it is the single best guitar I have ever owned in my entire life. Selling it is also the single BIGGEST REGRET I have. Having a guitar that feels and looks broken in does wonders for the creativity and drive to continue making music.
I’m a lucky boy getting to play these incredible guitars. Already excited about the next unboxing 🤘💜
maybe it's time for you to get 'your strat'
The Keeley Noble Screamer would be good to see in the effects department , Great playing man .
They last strat sounded awesome
These unboxing videos are always incredible, but having Pete play each of them was a huge game changer. Great job guys, this was awesome!
One great thing about guitars is they keep us excited like children.
Yep. I literally cried out “Woooah!” when that gold sparkle Strat showed up. 😂
Absolutely man, I had so much fun watching this - even though my wallet and me both know we're not getting our hands on one of those :)
I may listen to Jimi Hendrix for the rest of my life; watching 'unboxing videos' perhaps not so much.
Poison Apple Red is my custom color that I do. I am so glad you enjoy it!
Amazing work, Andy 👏
"Unbelievably high craftsmanship and then beaten half to death", Haha, I love it!!!

The strat without the relicing was my favourite.
Such a full sound!
Mine too.
Is anybody going to talk about how good those guitars sound on the Tone King Imperial? Great playing as always Pete!
That 1st sunburst strat just had IT. That guitar sounded astounding, especially compared to some of the others.
That first strat looked so authentic, I could imagine the worker in the factory adding those scratches one scratch at a time. Musical history like that you just can't put a price on.

That first strat sounded amazing!
One of the best sounding strats I've heard on any of their videos. Someone is going to be lucky to own that one.
I just realized how good the Dane is......such deep expression and pure tone and emotion.

The sound and the looks of the last two Strats ... oh my days ... 😍
Watching Pete play always reminds that some ppl have natural abilities on a guitar. very nice.
This format is sooo fun! Loved this whole vid.

Pete looked so happy with that gold thinline. Get a Room!
I love watching Pete play 👍 Some beautiful Tele’s there. ❤

Pete’s playing is so dynamic it’s crazy
super vid - quick description and the demos were spot on with that great amp... well done more like it please
Yay lots of fun window shopping. Nice playing by Pete ( who is a veteran wood-feeler. ) 😉
Love the fingerboard on that PRS. Paul Davids recently got a PRS with that fingerboard and it looks amazing.

That Andy Hicks MB is something else!
Yes, please. My favorite was the 50's Strat DLX Closet Classic with no relic treatment.
What a playing! 03:48
Some beautiful guitars. I don't personally understand the relic thing either. I can (hopefully not) do that to them over time.
I like the room, couch and amp set-up. Great guitars, great video.

I could listen to Pete noodeling all day long. Its almost like listening to rain hitting a tin roof. Relaxing.
I like how all the gold ones are like Christmas. But those black teles are nice!!!!!
Some BEAUTIFUL guitars today!
Love the Gold Thinline Tele!
The Master built Strat at the end sounds perfect .
Position 4 on that sparkly golden Strat was amazing
Offtop: could you show budget pedalboards? Like difference between 'rail' ans 'case' style like Ordo have. Pros and cons of either types
I'm really impressed that Andertons has so much Custom Shop love for bass players.
Pete is just a class act, well done Lee for bringing him into the team.
What's happened to Dave Simpson's slot, I know he's a bit whackey but I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking please don't let him go.
Dentists and lawyers all over south London are currently lining up in front of Anderton's for that PRS.
And it doesn't sound or play any better than the SE
@@paullavallee1631 .... it does :)
To play smoke on water badly until they get bored then for it to live in the case on a pile of equally priced guitars in perpetuity.

8:35 that’s gorgeous 🥹

Can't please everyone
Great news about the Plek!
Beautiful guitars and playing.
Pete is the man to demo these babies.....
Those thinline Teles are siiiiick
The poison red is my favorite!
A.H. initials! Not very popular in Germany 😂! Beautiful guitar!
I love that journeyman roasted 56 the best. Looks like Johnson’s guitar.
Oooh I was wonder8mg when Andertons were going to offer Plek. Can't wait to buy a Squier Sonic and get it plek'd
Sweet mother of 😮😮😮 that PRS!! If only it was red!!! 😅😅😅 I’ll be paying with my eternal soul 😅❤

Love this. Sound great through the Tone King.

THAT LAST STRAT WAS BITCHINGLY GOOD BOYS
thanks every body!
The 7th guitar is a dream! I really thought to buy it, but i do not have 10k pounds. Wonderfull guitar!!!
They sound all fantastic
You are getting all Jools Holland on us in the intro...even the backwards walk! Haha 😂
Unfortunately, not one caught my eye, but hell I'm old. Nice video as always!
That gold tele ❤
Well I wanted the troposphere strat, but then Pete went and played all the best notes out of it. Lol
G Shock GW6900 and Rolex Explorer? Excellent watch game on these sweetboys.
The guitars are great, but that amp is perfect
What amp is that
@@teknomanning tone king imperial mk II
Lee ..i love the last comment you made about Pete...you sound like me counting in a song 😂😂😂
I liked the black thinline tele with the P90 neck the best!
Keep your fingers off my guitar
Pete!!😂 Love that poison apple red strat!
Can anyone tell me if you get to choose a guitar case when you order a custom customshop or a custom masterbuild?
What amp is Pete playing there? Sounds fantastic!
ToneKing Imperial mkiii
Last 2 btw?😍😍
Lots of “ belt sander “ specials 👀😁👍🏾.
Okay, the last strat is dope.
All the cases are very nice
that last guitar is just sweett
What's on Pete's wrist? I hope it doesn't scratch the guitars.
Custom Shop Hand-Wound Troposphere Strat Pickups!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZINĞ
The gold sparkle Strat is DIVINE.
A true party in the pants for all involved.
Yep,
-I’ll take Sparky G.
That last guitar, the white relic Strat sounded amazing - but.. I don't like the look.. it's pretty ugly to me but the sound is incredible ! It's like an ugly girl that rocks your world and you can't get away from ! 😍
yea it's quite hideous...what a shame. with a look like that even i am not a fan of relicing
Agree, it's beautiful
I know her!
yup , it needs a refin : )
Agreed. Sonically the best, but the finish 😢
oooo my Lord, guys, your having soo much fun!!!!
the first Stratocaster is my favorite
That poison-apple red thing is effing beautiful.. One of these days, faded candy-apple red sparkle, medium relic thank you please.
Now all I need to is be able to play better than someone who's had both hands surgically replaced by horses hooves.
Andertons~how r u?~Yo. outstanding . 🤘
Sweet sweet guitars... gonna build them myself one day.. lol
My favorite time is when the Fender Custom Shop guitars show up for an unboxing. One day... I'll own one🤣🤣
That PRS is GORGEOUS!!!
La 65 et la meilleur , les micros 65 son cool . Good.🎸
Surely he should have called the Pickups 'Stratosphere' instead of 'Troposphere'? 😂👌
Stratosphere would have been better i agree, and don’t call me Shirley 😂
Poison Apple Red❤❤❤
what's the amp gentlemen? top entertainment as usual...thanks for making the passion infectious
Tone King Imperial MK II
There’s also a Milkman nearby. Tim Marcus for the win !
Proper happy days!!
Did you get more new cameras guys. Honestly feel like I’m standing in the room with you both
Why are Stratocasters so freaking neat?
