Mere words can not express the rollercoaster of emotions I experienced during this film. Being Irish and of the west, Part 2 spoke to me in ways I can not process fully. When your blood is Irish, She calls to you and reminds you where you came from.... and where you belong. Bravo Maestro, Bravo. This work is the pinnacle of your achievements. All made by one man. Written, directed, filmed and edited. This usually takes an army of artists. An impossible undertaking. But here it is. So proud to call you my friend.

Incredibly well put together and narrated! I mean, your round of mini Guinness with those 5 (not one, or two, or even three, you went for a full basket ball team you wily old fox) stunners at around 12-13 minutes in set the scene, and the scenery that followed was truly breath-taking. The west coast of Ireland is in my bucket list, and it just moved a good few places up the list, thanks to you, good sir.

Hello Oisín, I didn’t want to comment until I watched the two parts entirely. I’m from France but live in Ireland (Cork) since 2013, 11 years in July, moved here to stay, a one-way ticket as I told my parents in the Rennes airport, even though I had never visited Ireland before, deep inside, I knew, I felt Ireland was to become home. It was obvious, and I wanted to learn the culture, meet the people.
I became Irish last year (June 2023). I am so proud to be Irish, and the more I learn about the Irish history the more I’m in love with the people, the culture and the country.
Your two-part documentary is just majestic, everything is beautiful. The images, music and your narrative were so captivating and full of emotions. It made me love Ireland and its people even more.
The best documentary on Ireland I’ve ever seen.
And I love seafood chowder too so now I know where to have the best one.
Thank you so much for putting so much work (and money) in making this 3 hours documentary, by sheer love of Ireland and your ancestors history, and your kindness for sharing such amazing work with us all.

Excellent, nostalgic trip home for you. Must have been quite moving for you.
I found the film a little dark and sobering both in terms of subject, visual content, and music. Obviously, this is an artistic choice. The past pain will always be there in Ireland, but I prefer to think of the happier times-the pubs, the music, the craic, and of course, the chowder when I think of Ireland 🇮🇪. Erin go bragh!

Ush we expected nothing less than spectacular imagery, brooding music, the low octave narration and fantastic shots of Irelands beautiful coastline and inland topography, and it was all that and more! what a treat thankyou for all the hard work and super late into the night hours you put in. I blasted the video from my MacBook onto my 65" samsung Qled, woozier. oh I remember those lovely irish wedding party lasses, at that pub, fun night that was. that wideshot of the white horse in slowmo, just a powerful one there. got my eye and soul. well done. I loved the farmland shots with the old rockwalls to separate the owners' parcels back then, such verdant vegetation and lush natural countryside. the home of golf I think and we can all see why. at 18.55 you passed a rockwall formation, it almost looks like petrified forest material. at 20.55 that huge rectangular rock pit me thinks was a quarry for workers to use for the fort walls no? all the other cliff degradations one can surmise are from water, wind erosion over time. the castle is spectacular. have seen dozens and dozens or English, Irish, Scottish RUclips castle exploration videos, am forever fascinated how it would've been to live in those times. at 29.00 it would've been super cool to have an AI generated shot of your eyes turn pitch coal black as a reaction to that dream of the woman you had in bed! perfect fade to black post Kate the pirate montage! the wonderful soundtrack moves the story along with a masters touch. funny around 47.00 as you sped up the tarmac sequence footage , I was thinking will he speed up the soundtrack as well to match and you did perfectly like a master! Prolly the "West is the Best" cuz it's closest to the source? My guess. John Ford esque pans around 1.11 Ush but he would've done more bright daylight, I prefer your sunset interpretation moreso! What a fabulous sort of movie documentary. very easy to say "please more more more" but it took a village in this one am sure. Congrats on 170k sub also, 200k very soon am confident .
