The 49ers desperately need a vertical threat. A receiver with pure speed will open up the offense more. Hopefully, he can run routes and catch the ball in the NFL. We've seen a ton of track stars come into the league who couldn't catch or run routes. They didn't last long.

Imagine if "that passing game" had top 10 pass protection like Mahomes, Jordan Love, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts benefit from. Funny how that's never mentioned by analysts talking QB rankings but when Purdy's name comes up they take credit from him because of his "weapons" despite having to overcome bottom 10 pass protection which they also never mention. This is a big reason why Purdy was the real MVP of the league. Screw the AP. Proof is in Mahomes performance with terrible pass protection VS Purdy 's performance with terrible pass protection. Can't say Purdy had better weapons either. Mahomes had Tyreek Hill, Kelce, Edwards Helair, Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman. Can't claim Mahomes had to play a harder defense either because both had to play against the leagues best defense in their Superbowl losses. The biggest difference was how each QB performed.
Cowing has a friend that is really good and i hope he mentions him to the 49ers to add him to our practice squad. I Can assure he won't disappoint. Cowing is a great pick

But Brock's mobility n quick processing might have save the O-line sometimes. Crazy? Did Niners exchange draft picks with SB rivals, so they could pick an OT. WtF? DT Armstead was let go. Niners used to build D-line thru draft, now, tweaks thru FAs n trades. Works sometime, doesn't work sometimes. Like Hargrave, Young, Farrell, Gregory didn't. Armstead was a locker room leader, expect the same from guys on 1-2 yrs deals? Its about money n next contract. Niners don't trade Deebo or Aiyuk, tag Jennings, draft Pearsall n Cowing, sign UFA Owen's son n sign Taylor (kicks only?). Niners have 10 WRs for 5-6 spots on 53. Coach Turner may have an eye for RBs, but Niners have found RBs since the 2 RBs from 1st Kyle/Niners SB loss. Sermon, Davis-Price, Mason (doesn't get opportunities, why), Mitchell (good, but hurt a lot). Cmc came via trade. Guess we wait n see how play out. Not sure, Kyle/Niners will start rookies.
