Looking forward to next video about tent heater. Seen one person with a small fire, where the centre pole is (I think they had an external tripod, or maybe a ridge line- can’t remember, obviously they had it open at the top though). I was thinking about my firebox. Not many videos about these NVA tarps, even less, using them as a teepee/ Lavvu setup. Just got a third one for this purpose, I also have two Romanian ones, the oak leaf camo ones, think I’ll have to get another of those, shame they’ve no buttons, but I love the camo pattern!😁. I really like canvas tarps, have quite a few Russian Plash Palatkas also. Interesting channel you have, have subscribed.

It's great to see you again, Taro! You will always improve my mood ... :). The tarp is quite similar to the "polish lavu", that is quite popular on YT. I have it myself, but it's deadly heavy. However, very resistant and resistant to fire. Good health and all good my friend from the Czech Beskydy! Jiri :)
Hi Jiri, this version is a bit larger than the polish lavu but also quite heavy, not for long distance hiking but if you use a sled in winter or on a canoe trip or just being in the forest for bushcraftlife It could be worth to carry, thanks for your support over such a long time👍👍👍 all the best, Taro
Thank you, I cannot compare it and they could be a bit easier to setup and maybe a bit lighter weight, but the polish version is quite a bit less room inside, take care, Taro
Please make sure for EACH video, to ALWAYS provide equipment description and links for items used. It is very useful to source out the product ...or similar. In this case, where did you get the pole and the pegs? Thanks.
Unfortunately the Swiss 'zeltblache' is only 165x165 so the tipi is quite a bit smaller! I'be been thinking about the Romanian or Russian plash-palatka, they measure 180x185, according to the descriptions on varusteleka.

How water-resistant is it? I've seen a presentation of a German guy and he said that it's not so good. Which is troublesome because there's a lot of guys successfully testing other tarps (like Polish lavvu, Russian palatka) and these are dry to touch from the inside in a whole day rain
Thanks for watching, in my experience the is no difference between them all about water-resistant, the important point is the treatment, I think the production of the NVA Tarps stops over 30 years ago, so it depending from i where you get them, I’ve they are really unused the water-resistance is very good (of course not waterproof), but even if they get wet they will protect you very well from the elements, the problem they all kind of those military cotton tarps have is that they get very very heavy if they are wet, so if you want to have a high level of water resistant i recommend to use some treatment like you use for other textiles, hope that helps a little, all the best, Taro
