"If romance turned to finance, you could be victim of fraud": Surrey's Police and Crime Commissioner

Surrey's Police and Crime Commissioner Lisa Townsend has released a video for Valentine's Day warning of the signs of romance fraud. The animation, which shows a text conversation between two people who have not yet met in person, includes some of the warning signs used by romance fraudsters to get money from victims. Anyone who is concerned that they may have been targeted is urged to speak to the police and Action Fraud.
