I live in Cville and on the day of events at Lee Park, I drove a minister and her daughter to volunteer handing out water bottles. I saw youths in helmets, shields and weapons headed for the park. These were kids from out of town invited by the right wing hype at the time. It’s left quite an impression on me to see our city streets filled with teens with militant intent. The injuries and murder of that day left this city in mourning. Then there were the trials that drug on. This kind of event affects the entire community.

Which group of ‘we’ has the authority to accomplish that? And how likely is it to ‘stick’ when only the right wing judges are found guilty? They are supposed to recuse themselves, and that doesn’t happen. Congress needs to pass a code of conduct for the Supremes, with an enforcement mechanism written into it.

I'm waiting for Karen to explain the consequences of a criminal contempt ruling. On Justice Matters, Glenn Kirschner commented that the NY criminal contempt ruling puts Trump at risk that a judge in other cases can revoke Trump's bail and order him into custody. Bail conditions usually require the defendant not to commit any crimes during bail release, wherever such crimes might occur.
Do you think his Charlottesville was peanuts comment was a veiled threat of violence if he is convicted? That’s how I took it.
