Yeah I was looking at the schedule and Baker could very well pull off a 10+ win season and very well in some tough games if we do win get 14 wins. Idk about 17-0 but it’s possible when you have the 🐐at qb
Last preseason, the prognosticators had the Seattle Seahawks as one of the worst teams in the league, and predicted that they would be picking top 5. They made the playoffs. Dave Canales.
The old correlation vs causation. Well, lets see...Geno Smith has been in the league for a total of nine seasons. Out of those nine seasons, he had one successful season, which was last season in Seattle under the watchful eye of Dave Canales and the Seahawks offense. That shows that Smith's success was the exception, not the norm. With that in mind, it's more likely that Canales and the Seahawks offense turned Geno around, than that Geno was able to "step up" and was the reason Seattle had success. Nice try though. Are you his cousin or something?@@andrewalvarez4975
Trask can be good. Let’s see what he does this week. One game doesn’t mean anything. He gets another chance to show he can play. May the better man win
The only thing this competition has accomplished is to divide the fans. Just pick a guy, give him full reps and if he doesn't work out switch then get a draft pick. If they pick Baker and he throws an interception, we want Trask chants will follow. the reverse is also true
We know D is good. The OC is a super important part of a football team. Canales is fairly unproven, but I haven't heard anyone say that they aren't very optimistic about him. Mayfield is the most under-rated QB of all time. Forget about things he used to say a few years ago. Forget about the numbers stamped on Baker while playing on circus teams in dire circumstances. Watch play breakdowns and trust your eyes. (Kurt Warner, KURT FREAKING WARNER, knows Baker is a very good QB!). Now Baker is FINALLY in his first ever preseason in a decent system. The O-line is the ONLY concern IMO. If they're even average, this team surprises everyone.
@@boosted2.4_sky I’m a huge Baker fan. Like somewhere between Nick Wright and Skip Bayless. Just highlighting the ridiculousness of this sham competition. The only reason I reserve a little bit of room that it may be real is how little they paid Baker, but even with that it seems like a political formality. Any time Baker has had decent coaching/stability and been healthy, he has done well. Sometimes even without one or the other. Even when he was clearly being hindered by multiple injuries and being hung out to dry by Stefanski that last year in Cleveland, he had as good or better numbers than 5 or 6 other starting QBs, several of which still have jobs. Through his first 4 seasons he had comparable numbers to Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. Not saying he’s as good as those guys, but they also have had far better situations than he has had.
I think Canales will do a good job. Got talented receivers, so long as the QBs don't get too pressured they can play mistake free. But that all depends on good protection and especially whether Canales can get the run game going.
Tom Brady has big eyes and big shoes to fill the definitely needs to be competition to find out who the next quarterback is just because Baker Mayfield had a lot of hype and college
Dude said most coaching styles are “barbaric” and said he’s still learning. Yeah and his tone is mad nonchalant. There is no QB competition here and Baker and 3rd string delivered against the Steelers while trask yeah…
"just getting into year 3". Kyle, you planning for a long bench carrier!? I had a lot of hope for you but them bring Baker in tells me youll always be a backup. Hate saying it but i dont see that fire
If the Bucs are as bad as the analysts think, the team will be cleaning house by getting rid of Todd Bowles and potentially all of the coaching staff. Their lack of faith in Baker Mayfield is shown by their one year contract ($2 million signing bonus, $1 million base salary, $5.5 million in incentives). If they exceed expectations, stay healthy, and Mayfield avoids the turnovers he has had at times in his career, they will be fairly successful and return next season. If not, and they have to go to Kyle Trask week 6 during the break because of turnover problems, then everything they have right now is at risk and we have no idea what they will look like next year.
Nobody expected anything from Brock Purdy, Mr. Irrelevant, but he's the starter for the 49ers over Trey Lance. I say give Trask a chance to prove himself. If it doesn't work out, so what? We can always bring in Mayfield.
Baker went 11-5 with a playoff win in his 3rd year after 4 head coaches 4 different offensive coordinators and 2 GMS then started out on fire in 2021 before his injury now 2 years later 4 more head coaches 3 different teams, I just wonder how good he could be if there was any consistency only once in 5 years has he not had to learn a new offense in the pre season
@JustMe-gn6yf baker never threw 30 tds in his career with loaded rosters. Honestly I just want the bucs to win. But I'd like to see Trask get an honest shot.
@@wdtipvr1888 if the Bucs front office thought after 2 years of observing Kyle that he was ready to lead the offense they never would have signed Baker
@JustMe-gn6yf no they didn't. 2 years in an entirely different offense with a horrible QB coach who loved Gabbert no matter what. Many in the front office believe in Trask, that's why it's a real QB competition. Which Mayfield is not running away with. And if Trask plays extremely well in the preseason game 2 like he did against the jets in practice today, it's definitely up in the air
@JustMe-gn6yf only reason they brought Mayfield in is because he's a vet that they got cheap who still MAY have some upside. Most are saying this is his last shot. And if you were to have someone backup up a guy with no NFL starts, you normally get a vet. Mayfield is almost a career backup like the other normal number 1 bust Crableg Winston.
Let’s get ready to shake and bake go Baker Mayfield very optimistic that we can surprise the number of people and get 10 or 11 wins go Buccaneers
Yeah I was looking at the schedule and Baker could very well pull off a 10+ win season and very well in some tough games if we do win get 14 wins. Idk about 17-0 but it’s possible when you have the 🐐at qb
.500 is generous. I hope I eat my words, 10+ W's would be great. If Baker clicks with Mike and Chris it's game on!!
Shake n Bake baby 💪🏽
Go BUCS
So exciting Team LFG 🎉❤🎉
Trust the process stop doubt this team. I got the feeling their going really good lets go bucs
I'm glad they also domt see it as a rebuild year. This team can be sneakily good and make a playoff run
Oh Boy you’re gonna be so disappointed. Best of luck
I’m a Gator fan and want to see Trask succeed so much but watching that first Preseason game last week, Mayfield looked much better.
Same
Did y'all not see online take a dump lol
Preseason game 2 shows trask better than what he has been
baker didnt really take any chances and trask was throwing downfield and sees the field better
LFG! Go Bucs! We're gonna win the division again, 4 in a row! 🏴☠️😊
GO BUCS
So sick
Baker Mayfield QB1
We could very well need both quarterbacks with the length and physicality of the season.
I love the creamsicle jerseys.😊
These shorts are very well produced.
Ripped off from the Cleveland Browns...Browns have been doing these for 10 years
Man, no one rips off anything from the Cleveland Browns
Great Video!!!! Nice Job Bucs!
Looking back...
It was Baker all along and it was never even close.
Big Play Baker

More on geno smith tbh. If he didn’t step up like he did the system wouldn’t of worked

Just seen the story that Russell Gage was carted off the field in tears during a joint practice w Jets
I seen that as well, smh, he's done, it's time for Tompkins and Palmer for those 3rd man reps
Said he's likely out for season
Sorry to hear about Gage. Luckily that position is stacked.
Bring the chip home boys!!!!
Pulling for Kyle...Go Bucs!
yikes

learn to spell
It's Bakers job
Name the starter already
It's Baker bro

Everywhere Baker goes there's a quarterback competition
Bucs or Saint let the best team win go bucs!
Trask QB1!
😂
Are you insane? Mayfield has been a REALLY good NFL QB. Look at the numbers before his injury.
@soonerborn9073 and look at his numbers after his injury.. even before his injury he has the most turnovers in the leauge since he came in
@@airshipflier9238 no. Ints not turnovers. Josh Allen has had more. And Daniel Jones........ but go ahead and cherry pick....
Baker has issues. Trask is still a below average athlete and his release is long and labored. Still needs time.
Stop wasting snaps on Trask.
You spelled mayfield wrong🤷🏿♂️
Lol
