This is an absurd conversation! It’s 100 percent life changing.
I don’t understand what their missing. It’s life changing. It will change your life. They’re being too deep about it.
$1mil is ABSOLUTELY life changing. I wouldn't quit my job because it covers my living expenses with some left to save, but 1mil smartly invested and working for me? That is potentially generation-changing.
For those that don't think it's life-changing,you're thinking about all the stupid shit you can immediately buy with 1mil.
people are delusional. most people who have existed/will exist will never see a million dollars
@@aubreyyoung4610 It's a subjective topic. Money not only is it personal. It's also relative. Life changing for you. Might be conservative to someone else. So who is right?
@@PeterParker-wj3cr everyone saying a million is life-changing is right.
Yes it is life changing money lol what are we even talking about here
Naw fr 1 mil would most definitely change my life rn😭
There's some low-key flexing going on of course that's life-changing money. You can't retire on it if you're in your 20 or 30s but if you are in your late 50s early 60s hell yeah that's probably more than you will have now. Even if you are in your 20s and your 30s, having access to $1 million can set you up for the rest of your life
I would say it’s life changing if you know what you doing with it. But also it can be life changing in a good way or bad way.
Ty 🧠 🤷🏾♂️. Simple.
Bro I came here just to say this glad somebody did.
If your experiences lead you to believe $1m ain’t life changing money, you are truly blessed and cursed at the same time
💯💯💯
Yeah, you're out of touch if you think it ain't life changing.
Super facts….
Having a car is life changing when you ride the bus daily. $1,000,000 is life changing when you struggle paycheck to paycheck. It would definitely change your life because your daily patterns would alter…therefore changing your life. However would it retire you? No.
Not everybody knows how to use 1,000,000. Some would use it wisely. Others could go out and buy a lambo and a ferrari and there back to square 1
@@cpbballbeastthere’s cars worth 100 million are we gonna also argue 100 mill isn’t life changing money
@@trestiles1914 your completely changing the question the question wasnt is 100 mill life changing the question was 1 mill.
Bruh if you dont think a mill can retire you is fuckin crazy😂😂😂. Investments and not living past your means
Let me rephrase a mil can change my life cause i would buy a house for straight cash and have no mortgage or rent forever...only taxes and insurance
To someone who fantasizes about living a lavish lifestyle, 1M is not a lot of money. To majority of the people in the world who would love to just relieve financial stress, it absolutely is.
Thats not part of the question you moving the goal post rn.n
it's life changing
Bingo
@@StaticbeyfrmSemoranIt's an addendum. Some ppl r addicted to luxury nd excess. For those ppl, $1m won't see out the rest of their lives doing that, maybe short-term. However, for ppl who settle for the simple things, $1m will definitely change their lives in the short and the long-term
That 1 million dollars can help you get to the lavish lifestyle if you use it for such. Stop capping. Say "a million dollars is a lot of money, but 10 million is better". But please stop acting like your ass wouldn't jump for joy and pass out if you receive it. Stoooop
If you get a million dollars and its not life changing, you either didn't need it or didn't use it right.
The perfect comment 🫡
💯
💯
Right a mill could pay off most people bills, small house and simple car. All paid off. That's life changing.
🎯💯💯
Joe and Parks are correct. Everyone else is bugging.. You have billionaires that still work.
Life changing.
Retiring you.
Are two different things.
Yes but they work VOLUNTARILY not Necessarily. That’s the difference.
@@daryldaix3350exactly there’s a huge difference ….their is not a billionaire on this planet who is forced to work…that’s retirement money 💰

An untaxed $1million is DEFINITELY life changing. Personally I could live off that without working and cover all my expenses for at least the next 15 years or work part-time for the rest of my life
Fam if you want to live off that milli, you best keep it secret, if it leaks that u got it, your loved ones gon be hittin up for 10 grand here, 20 grand there..

As a person who works for a Financial Planner a mill is life changing money. If you put it in certain investments and annuities you can definitely live comfortable depending on ones lifestyle!
What are you talking about? You don't need to invest shit. Billions of people are living off $40k or less a year. Just live your normal life and keep working where you at
You invest the million and it grows 70k a year dummy. @@hbb7528
@@hbb7528 and your the reason why if u got reparations it would go straight to the weed man, an overly big house or mad cars u not gonna register smh
@@hbb7528and this is why you’re not financial planner. I was a private banker for about a decade and investment is what everyone should be doing. You think just your savings and salary will help you after you retire. What do you think a pension or 401k is ? Those are quite literally investments for when you actually retire; but I digress. To live comfortably after retirement, it’s imperative to invest early because it simply isn’t enough. Inflation hurts the dollar with each year.
Agreed. Majority of my clients were millionaires and I know their struggles. A million would change their lives.
Short answer…. 1 mil is LIFE CHANGING…. For those who never made 1 mil
Especially a person is not even gonna pay a house. They gonna most likely pay off all their bills and sit on the rest. Only a small percentage gonna splurge tbh
*correction…. For those who always worked for their money
@@dnestrad6293🎯🎯🎯 That correction is on the money
Made and have is different
@@anferneebrown5864thinking you can sit on 1mill is funny. You have already spent more than that in your lifetime 2x over😂
For me, simply getting out of debt and having all my bills paid for life (without even having to upgrade to a bigger home or newer car) is incredibly life changing
Being debt free is the key!
This
The problem we have as a community is that this conversation is being looked at in terms of what people can buy with 1 million. Throw that million in a CD or some type of account where you earn a solid rate of interest (5% or more) and you make an extra 50k annually while still having the mill. That’s life changing.
An extra $50k, on top of me my current job, would have me about about $125k a year. Considering I live in Chicago, which isn't cheap but not too expensive either, I'd do pretty well with that amount + with my girlfriend makes.
@@MightBeAPizza could even take that 50k you’re getting for nothing and throw it in etfs and the s&p 500 and make even more money on top of that. In 10 years you’ll be UP!
@MightBeAPizza As long as you don't fall in the trap of lifestyle inflation you will do well.
An extra 50k a year is not life changing 😂😂😂 u ever heard of inflation? U better off investing that money in a revenue generating business then trying to live off the interest of it.
@@johnnycash8567 an extra 50k annually with zero hours committed is def life changing. Use that to start that business you talking bout. Invest that money is stocks, crypto, real estate etc… not to mention you’ll still have the million. Regardless the premise is that a million dollars is life changing.
its 100% life changing. You can pay off a nice house in cash and have a roof over your head for the rest of your life without real worries. It's literally 130k job/year(after taxes) for 10 years. You can put it in S&P 500 for 20 years and it will be over 4.5 million were you can draw 7% a year (that's 350k) on it for the rest of your life.
See, this is what they should be teaching in school, but the problem is alot of people create debt rather than create wealth.
Thank you for posting this, very pragmatic.
2:22 almost 3 minutes in and clearly these rich mfs have no clue what they are talking about. That 1 mil. IS life changing money because as soon as you get it you can invest and watch that money appreciate. You can also stop having to work Instantly.
1 million dollars in mutual fund will generate 100k a year . 1 million dollars can buy 2 duplexes that generate 110k a year in rent .
90% of the population would be debt free and living comfortable if you gave them individually a million dollars tax free. That is 100% life changing.
Riiiiight
T
Sounds great but that would completely ruin the economic.
@@davkiller2205 I'm not saying everyone should be handed a million. I'm just saying how it would change that many people's lives...
And the world's dumbest debate goes to...
Wtf are y’all even talking about!?!? The disconnection in this segment. Joe is 100% correct.
Someone renting could buy a home or even better, buy a couple in the south and rent them out or Airbnb them. There is a wealth of opportunity with a mil.
Not paying RENT IS life changing and provides opportunities to advance financially. Like what?! I had the same exact facial expression as Joe this whole segment 😂
Thank you! Also, even if you still have to work, it can afford someone the opportunity to leave a lame job and pursue a dream job/career. You’d still be “working”, but doing what you love IS life changing. Agree, Joe was 100% correct in this segment.

U still got other expenses and that extra 2-3k u didn’t pay on rent u just gonna spend on something else 😂😂😂 yal never had money so yal don’t understand it. In 2024 a million ain’t life changing. Maybe back in 1984 but not 2024
Even when I got my 50k profit in crypto was life changing money. I got myself an appartment, a nice car and invested some of that money again and been living good since then. I’ve got good salary and I make more now and i am living way more stressfree. Once you’re above that 25 k in savings it can only go up.
Some of these folks have never heard of compound interest
A million would change the lives of everyone in that room and 99% of the world. Even a person with a billion in stocks… it is definitely life changing.
Exactly. Life changing isn’t retirement.
Had me until you said a billionaire. 1M is $1,000 to billionaires. That wouldn't change their life
@@michael43567 it would change trumps life right about now. Billionaire on paper doesn’t mean billion in the bank. Kanye found that out the hard way
@@BigChrisENT no it wouldn't. I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Kimberly A. Doran
Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing her been mentioned here also Didn’t know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, I'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super.
The very first time we tried, we invested $2000 and after a week, we received $9500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
You trade with Kimberly Doran too? Wow that woman has been a blessing to me and my family.
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I was skeptical at first till I decided to try. Its huge returns is awesome. I can't say much.

Exactly. They capping or dumb not sure.
Isn’t that one and the same though?
@@dremaliceNo. not even close.
@@dremalicewhy do people think “life changing” means retiring? A guy who is $15k in debt, lives in a shitty one bedroom apt, and makes $30k per year. They now have paid off house in a gated community, debt free, and money in the bank. How is that guys life not changed?

$18 million gets you about 680k in bond payouts a year. Roughly 1 milllion would be about 40k a year. An extra 40k a year means I’d still have to work but my house is paid for or I wouldn’t have to worry about certain expenses indefinitely. It won’t change my life entirely but I would have more options to enjoy.
😂 why would you put it in bonds?
u r slow. 1M can get you 100k a year with modest investing. hell you can get 6% in a high yield savings account.
Bonds ? Out of all this shit to invest in and you choose bonds
By your definition it changed your life, but didn’t retire you.
Not worrying about where you have to live is life changing
Buying a house is life changing, buying a car is life changing. How the hell wouldn't a million dollars be life changing money 😂
A quarter million Is enough to change my life
Real shit bro.
A house with no mortgage is life changing.
I wouldn't even put in my 2 week notice at work.
Depends where you work but I would
Guys if you live in the HOOD is striving to leave due to lack of funds and the area is full violence, murder and etc, and you have a job that you don't mind staying for a while and you get 1 million in your account. THAT 1 mill WILL CHANGE your life!
A mill is good for anybody that's broke...or even have jobs is definitely gonna change ur life
As a person that's a made a million before, it's absolutely life changing. My friend's mom left her 30k, and she invested in her her kids investment account. When they are 30, they'll be able to put a down-payment on a home. That's life changing.
1 million dollars is life changing with the right knowledge on how to use it
And not misuse it…
Assets and liabilities
And it might be subjective
I stand with JOE on this one
These 2 guys act like they have so much money that a million wouldnt change much in their life. Yes u can keep working at walmart because u love ur job, and knowing that u have a million in the bank will reduce ur stress level at work, thats also life changing. Life changing doesnt only mean stop working, it means keep working with less stress or leaving that job u hate. That freedom is life changing.
Put that million dollars in APPLE, AMAZON, META WALMART, NVIDIA... and keep your regular life.. ⏰️🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
So many people are stuck, scrambling, dreading their car breaking down, something like a Fridge breaking.... or urgent dental care being required- this isnt trivial its peoples reality. They have no buffer, and as they try to build a little savings - this shit comes out of left field and blows it away. There's Mothers out there who plaster on a smile, try to keep their babies happy, and cling on trying to hold shit down until their kids reach adulthood and have opportunity themselves. They are working hard. On a given day you could give them 1000 and they'd burst into tears - thats how exhausting that grind is. A million is life changing. It opens up a different world where you can advance, have a home. Its a foundation for everything else.

Absolutely is. But life is still all about decision-making. You can turn a million to a community development project, a few material objects, a family business, a private island, a criminal enterprise, a nest egg, an addiction or a negative balance. It is what it is.
If I'm a high school graduate working a labor job and I get a million dollars, I can buy myself a car if I don't have one, a small house, quit my job, put myself through any schooling/training available for whatever my true passion in life is, become proficient enough to get hired for said passion, and my life will forever be changed despite still having to work. Wild take from some of them
After taxes 1 million is very life changing. You could make a lot of investments with that money. Buy your mother a car. Settle debts and student loans. Travel the world. Set up college funds. Start multiple businesses. Get good credit cards and loans
The didn't say taxed. 1 million cash. I make 60k a year in memphis tn. 1 bedroom apt. Of course it's like changing. I'd have an amazing house for 400k with a pool in memphis. Then I'd have a serious 2024 Benz for 70K and I'd still have half a million dollars left. No rent. I'm taking trips to Dubai. I'm buying gorgeous stripper twat in Houston. My life would be super changed
This is my new qualifying question when someone asks to borrow money now. If they say no, a million is not a lot of money, I will also say no to loaning them money.
$1 mill given to the wrong person can be wasted but to the right person that is good with investments it can be 10x or more
That’s not the conversation though. It is still life changing
I’m doing ok for myself but a million is definitely life changing. The ability to buy a house without a mortgage frees up a big monthly expense. Your mortgage payments is now ‘free money’ which for me would be life changing. I wouldn’t quit my job but my lifestyle would 100% change.
It's not that life changing money means I don't have to do anything for the rest of my life or anything even close to that. A million dollars would open more opportunities to me, which would lead to a difference in how my life is currently. AKA, life changing money
I’m a 16 year career firefighter and I want to say that a million dollars is clearly life changing and I would love to come onto your podcast and debate with everyone on the panel on this subject.

With a million dollars one could buy land, build a self sustainable house and farm. Completely life changing.
Yes it is
Joe is absolutely 100% right! A million dollars is more than enough money that YOU can USE to change your life! It doesn’t mean you have to sit on it!
The term "life changing" is relative to how your lifestyle was before you got the mill.
Thank you!!!! All the scammers say know because they don’t know what to do with 100,000k shoot 10,000 is life changing if you know what to do
Life changing is changing something in your life, which 1 million dollars would certainly do. You can buy a house, new clothes, new car, go on vacation to places you dream about, the money may not last for your lifetime but its gonna change things for you for x amount of years. now if your a cheapskate it may very well last you for the rest of your life.
Fo lyf
They’re conflating Life Changing with never having to work again. If I go from being on the grill at McDonald’s to the CEO of Google the difference in compensation is 100000% life changing AND I’d still have to work.
Yall sound some rich spoiled entitled people. 99% of this country can live the rest of their life off a million

Viewing "$1 million dollars as life changing money" has more to do with
1. the Mindset of the individual in possession of it...
2. What stage of life that individual is in...
3. How was it acquired...
4. What are their intentions for it?
At least those are some of the things to consider.
Has nothing to do that. Will it change their life yes.
They wild, life changing is life changing not living life like you are a billionaire
If you win $1 million from a scratch off, you don’t get $1 million after taxes you’re probably bringing home 600,000
$600k isn't life changing?🧐
You gotta keep working regardless. The way you work is just going to change
You can buy a house and car and pay off all your debt. Thats life changing. Yes you still have to work but the money you making aint going to a mortage or car payment or debt. You can literally save most of your money. Thats life changing
Its all relative, even if I paid taxes on it.
I could pay off my home, pay off my debts, and quit my job with no notice and do what i love.
If you invest a million dollars properly you won’t have to work a 9-5 until retirement. It’s life-changing!! 🤷🏾♂️
Im realizing while listening to this clip I might be too poor to listen to this podcast 💀💀
Man I live in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. 45 minutes away from Shreveport. A million dollars is life changing
I got 10k and that changed my life. Saying a million isn't life changing is crazy. That's enough capital to open a fast food franchise.
A million dollars is life changing money
When you don’t spend it stupidly
I’m grossing over $400K a year and a million dollars would change my life
I can pay off my house , student loans , car . Then take money invest and start a business . Baby that would be life changing !
100%. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t understand money, or how it impacts life. One million dollars means that you don’t have to work a shitty job, you can either start your own business or go back to school and get a degree with no loans, and get whatever higher paying job you want. It means you can buy a house in cash, no mortgage, and then still have a lot left to invest with. It means you can afford healthcare(consider yourself lucky if this isn’t a concern of yours) For 99.9% of people, a million dollars is a life changing amount of money. Even if you already have a net worth of 1 million, an extra million in cash is STILL life changing. The only way a million wouldn’t make a difference to you is if you are already a MULTI millionaire, like at least 5+ million already.
Yes life changing money... its just not enough for the lifetime of luxury people want.
The average home in NY costs around 470k. Do you know how crazy it would be to buy a house outright for even 600k and have a spare 400k left over 😭 that will change my life!
1million is a lot of money. It’s not enough to stop working but a 1 million dollars will greatly put u ahead in life.
Things I think could be considered “life changing” that could be paid for with a million dollars:
- allow you to move to another location with better job opportunities while paying for a modest house
- pay off any outstanding debt (student loan, credit card, etc)
- fund the education for you and/or your children
- provide you the initial capital needed to start a business
- pay for any health issues you may have
- use it to fund an investment opportunity
I’m sure there are plenty of other scenarios, but I think you get the point.
It's whatever the person who got the million says it is. 50 would say no. 50's son would say yes. There's no right or wrong answer.
Life changing does not mean you don't need to work anymore. It simply means it can elevate or take you out of your circumstance. That is indeed a lot of money. Like joe said most people don't even have 500 to spare.
Even if you keep going to the same job you feel different. Security is underrated.
A million dollars in nyc 2024 ain’t 💩. Unless you’re living in Colombia 🇨🇴. Or Thailand 🇹🇭 the majority of people in the united states 🇺🇸 are drowning in debt 💸.
This is absolutely not a debate in any way whatsoever!! $1m is absolutely life-changing for 95% of people around the world!
It crazy Joe the most in touch person in this convo
To the grand majority of people in any city of any country on this planet 1M is LIFE CHANGING MONEY. Most people if their car broke down, would struggle to get it repaired or get a new car. Most people if their place of business or employment burned down today would be in a state of panic because they wouldn’t be able to maintain their bills. Having even 100k could at least alleviate that little bit of worry or stress in your life. Therefore Life Changing.
1 million could buy you a new house, a new car and wipe out most people's debt. That's life changing for most people in America.
DEFINITELY AGREE WITH JOE
Definitely pay off everything and just work for yourself and have all that extra . What kinda bills you have that 1 million wouldn’t
No amount of money can change your life if you’re not happy. Best times I had in my life I had no money in my pocket.
It's relative to the individual or the family. If by "life changing" we mean drastically improving your way of life from a financial standpoint, then I guess for your average middle class or low income family, a million dollars has the potential to change your life, providing you use that money wisely. If you spend that million living the high life for a year or two, you're back to square one. Unfortunately though, a lot of people don't know how to handle money.
Anybody who says 1 million dollars ain’t life changing money is either delusional, spoiled, or just out of touch. Thank you Joe for keeping it real.
A million liquid you can touch vs a lottery million is different.
Its absolutely life changing. Yes you still have to work but you could be debt free, build credit and be able to move differently. Invest in stocks, save, etc.
Rashad, Troy, Ian, and Trap are looking at this saying "You know what ill do with 1M in the stock market?!!!!!!"
Once your life is changed in a substantial and meaningful way even if you still have other struggles pending that’s what matters.
