A couple of weeks ago a client brought me a industrial equipment damaged by water. I done the same you did, but there was way more pins damaged. In the end I covered the components in UV resin, after a good washing in isopropyl alcohol. The equipment is running perfect now, and the client don't agree with the price I asked for the intensive work...
@solderking Excellent video as always. Can you tell me we’re you using a product to remove the solder mask under the chip? Or was it just gunk remaining from the scraping operation? And what product do you use to clean the flux off PCBs?
Thank you! :) That was flux gunk from when I flooded the pins before removing the chip. It scraped away pretty easily with a scalpel. I use 90% iso for cleaning. I recommend using 99% but I can't find it locally lol
True! I mentioned that we see the save files right away because if the battery wasn't working correctly we would be met with a dry battery error first! So, seeing the saves first means the battery is good and that the RTC is working as it should :)
Thx so much for your support! ❤
Hail to the king, baby
we are all kings :)👑
Excellent repairing
Thank you! :)

I just got one small Pokémon Silver with that issue, let's hope it can be fixed that way.
You got this! 💪
@@Solder_king it's hard as the damage is inmense. But I'm with All the hopes.

The battery is not needed for saving in gba games. It is only used for the clock.
