Yes! I lived in LA for 4 years when I was little then moved back to Taiwan. 15 years later that's definitely one of the things I miss the most. Christmas is kinda a bittersweet time for me 🥴
@@thewadsquad i think the name of the movie your talking about is Christmas vacation comes on almost every year not sure what channel it comes on but i watch that movie every year can,t wait for Christmas it is 2 months away so it is not that far off now because this month is October next month is November which means after October means in November it means that Christmas is a month away.
We keep gifts not only in my closet, but also inside our luggage. The kids are used to seeing luggage all in our closet, so they don't even suspect that all their gifts are inside
"I thought I would be the mom that......" Girl, I don't even use labels. Names are written directly on the wrapping paper with a marker! LOL. And only the receivers name, not the giver. Did it come from Mom and Dad? Did it come from Santa? Depends on what mood I'm in when you're opening it! Also the double sided wrapping paper is the BEST. So thick, easy to cut, doesn't rip..... It's heaven
Katherine im the same i have lots of double sided and yes just marker lol the person does not even know who its from but we know who has what paper LOL
Ever since my second child was born. My kids get their own wrapping paper and I tape a piece on their bed christmas eve when they are asleep and they have to go to their beds to find out which gift is theirs. Its so fun and magical. 🥰 I have 4 little too. I have a 7 year old, 5.5 year old, almost 4 year old in February, and a baby that turned one in November. 💗
That’s a great idea! I’ve also seen where the patents wrap a small gift in each child’s wrapping paper, and put the gift at the bottom of their stockings!
One year my stepmom did “symbols” for us kids (star, flower, heart, etc) and it was all fun and games until she mixed up some of the symbols and we started opening each others gifts. It was a fail, but definitely fun and memorable! 😊
I’ve been wrapping gifts for 30+ years and NEVER thought of doubling the gifts on one piece of paper like you are doing!!!! Dare I say “genius”!!!!! I’ll be doing that technique this year! Thanks for your constant wit. Merry Christmas to your entire family.⛄️🎅🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻🤶🏻

my in-laws/husband always did a dang free for all where everyone opened all the gifts all at the same time and it has always really stressed me and my sister in law out. The two of us both grew up in houses where gifts were opened one at a time in a round-robin style with everyone having their moment and time and attention. To me, having everyone open at the same time is chaotic, makes it go so fast and you cant even see/enjoy the gift giving/receiving. so us two ladies came in and ruined their "fun" and have commandeered the holiday to our way haha.
Omg that stressed me out just reading it lol. I also like everyone to take their time opening gifts, throw away their trash, once they have a few things opened they all go out their stuff away and take a break. Then we open more.
I grew up always doing that too, round robin style, with everyone opening one at a time. You are so right that it allows everyone to share in each gift given and received. It was so hard to wait between turns when I was a kid but that never killed anyone! The alternative I think teaches kids that Christmas is only about them.
I live in Iowa and our stores are still pretty stocked because everyone is shopping online! If you need cheap presents, Dollar tree has good stocking stuffers and Dollar general has a good deal on clothes that are cute and durable. Water color, paint& brushes, color by number, paint with water, bracelet making, make your own decor, and much more 😍 sorry if you don't have these stores and I rambled for nothing 🤣
My dad used to spend hundreds on both of my brothers kids and then just drop the bags of gifts off in my room and tell me to wrap them. I was a pretty annoyed teenager every single Christmas, but, it taught me how to wrap all sorts of weird shapes and sizes. 🤣
My dad did this to me too he would go out on Christmas eve and get my mom's gifts and then have Mr wrap them lol I feel like a lot of dads are last minute though 🤣
My grandma used to come to my school dressed as Mrs. Claus. My favourite saying is ' cleaning house while kids are growing is like shovelling snow while it's still snowing', as for wrapping and storing presents, I did one kids pile at a time and put everything in to bin liners with their names on and then up into the loft. One year my eldest knew the secret but my younger two didn't, my hubby was getting the bags from the loft while I was laying on my sons bed because he couldn't sleep.. there was a huge bang from the 'ceiling' and I looked at my son and said 'dodgy reindeer landing ', we giggled for ages and it's such a precious memory. xx
You are awesome! Thank you for keeping it so real. I have five kids, all adults now and seventeen grandbabies. Yes we buy for everyone ! When my kids were little it was like just get it done ! How ever they looked after I wrapped was good enough. Shoot they didn't care at all. Mamas have so much to do and getting all that wrapping done was major deal. Speaking of deployment during Christmas my husband was gone the first 6 Christmases of our marriage. It was so hard and after having kids it was even worse. Buy he did it to give us a better life. I am so proud of him he is my hero. Almost 16 years of marriage now and a lifetime left to go.
My daughter wanted a baby alive grows up, but we couldn’t find it in time and it was so expensive anyways!, and a swimming real mermaid tail suit but had to convince her that if you get for Christmas it won’t fit by the time summer comes! She grows up so fast! So the letter for Santa was kinda sad. I cried a little in this video because your vibes and conversation remind me of an auntie that I used to have and miss so much. I felt I was listening to a family member talking to me. My husband, 5yo daughter and I haven’t started any significant traditions I don’t even know how to bake the dinner because we always go to my in laws place and they don’t let us bring anything. We don’t even have a Christmas tree. But we’re happy! I hope if anyone reads this they have an awesome holiday and get to enjoy with loved ones on these troubled times.
I started a tradition when my baby was 2. New pajamas Christmas Eve, hot chocolate, ride around and look at Christmas lights. When I got married 6 years ago we started doing the same with my step daughters, of course, and it's something they all really look forward to and it warms my heart. It doesn't cost much and it means so much to all of us. Christmas traditions don't have to be fancy or complicated. Watching the same movie in front of the tree. Or a week of movies at night with just the tree lit is another one we love. I've watched home alone 47 times already! This year it's been rough getting in the spirit but I'm trying, if for nothing else so the kids have a good time. Our tree is up and stockings but no other decorations, and I have to work on Christmas so, idk I'm rambling, have a Merry Christmas and enjoy finding traditions for you're family! I promise it will be your highlight every year!
I literally love these, when she said "I know you dont come on youtube just to listen to christmas music while you watch me wrap presents." I felt that so much because shes the only person on youtube who I look forward to watch these videos cause I feel like we are talking😂 Merry Christmas!!
Hey I love watching you.... GURL you are sooooo funny and real. You are true to yourself and your not scared to show it. Sending you much merry love from England. 😂🌲🇬🇧
Haha thanks for s long video my family does secret santa and i got my mom and i got her oven mites ( the ones we have are really old and full of holes) and we will open the gifts after supper im trying to waste time yes i should be reading for my book report and cleaning lol
Christmas Eve we always go to church as a family and then go home and have French bread pizza. The pizza started when I was a kid and my parents promised us kids pizza after church but everywhere was closed so my dad picked up sub rolls from the gas station and made French bread pizza it’s been tradition ever since. My kids love it!!
I loved wrapping gifts so much that when I was a teen my mom would put my stuff in boxes and I would wrap it! I never knew what I got until Christmas Day though
That's what I do because I live with my grandma so it's hard.fkr her to wrap so I wrap all 4 of my brother's my mom's my aunt's my cousins and my own in boxes just like you. I also wrap all my friends my grandma's and cousins and siblings mom dad etc so I'm always busy around this time of the year I love it tho!
I always look forward to you! You are so funny and upbeat!! My favorite channel to watch for some good clean, family fun. Thank you. Happy Holidays Kim!
That’s smart! My parents would buy 3 different tubes of wrapping paper and would use the first colour on one kid, the second colour on another and then the third colour of wrapping paper would be used for all the gifts that were meant to be shared between us. It kept everything really easy and we always knew what was what. My mom also made sure everything was really fair and most of our gifts were the same which was easy considering we were 2 girls with a yeah between us so we liked the same stuff. So basically she’d have us open up the gifts that were the same at the same time and at the end we did the gifts that were meant for sharing. I think when I have kids I’ll do the different paper per kid to make it easier.
I saved this video until today so I could wrap presents while watching. I wrapped 1 and half presents during this video lol 😂 Thanks for keeping me company and I second the sausage balls, amazing!
One of my favorite traditions is one that started when I visited my sis and her family one Christmas, driving around the neighborhood looking at decorations while playing Christmas radio. I do that with my kids now and it still gives me warm feelings.
Dollar Tree has the large gift bags that are a thick cellaphane, different holiday designs, drop that unicorn rocker in one of those. I have a new tradition for you! While wrapping take a shot or sip of wine between each gift, at the end you'll be like I love Lucy! This has you written all over it!!! I'll be tuning in 2021 for the show...CHEERS!!!
Omg. I’ve been waiting for this all year. It’s one of my favorites that you produce! I love it And I haven’t even seen it yet. Thank you, happy holidays to everyone!
One holiday tradition me and my family have is each person picks a wrapping paper they like and that’s the wrapping paper we use to wrap their gifts and that way we know which gift belongs to who. I love it
I LITERALLY was just thinking about when you were going to post this video and here it is LOL! But my husband is in the army so he has these things called tough boxes so I hide my kids gifts in there and overflow goes into my empty Christmas tree box. While gifts to and from family and friends go right under the tree.
When my kids were little I kept some of their gifts at relatives houses so they could never find them and I picked them up about a week before Christmas.I am wrapping too! The little wrapping scraps I use to wrap the stocking stuffers. Even though it’s tedious to wrap all of the stocking stuffers it does make the morning Gina little longer as we all take turns open stockings and presents. 🎄
Every year my sister and I sit up on Christmas Eve and watch the muppets a Christmas carol movie and wrap presents. We live on opposite sides of the country so we sync up our TVs and do it all with our phones on speaker. Best tradition ever.
I'm not prepared for Christmas at all. Usually I have everything done by now. I don't even have gifts for my daughter yet. I have zero wrapping paper. Just living on the edge this year.🤣😭
I love Christmas baking and treats!! The ones I love are: Peanut butter blossom cookies, buckeyes, saltine crack toffee, molasses cookies and apple pie 🥧 breakfast is also eggs benedict and cinnamon rolls 👍😜
Our traditions with our family is waking up early every year! Now that I’m engaged and our on my own and everyone is grown we are learning our own traditions! I’m actually a small baker from Omaha NE, Reese’s peanut butter pie & puppy chow are my favorite I make it every year! I can’t stop watching your videos!!!!
I love how relatable you are and it’s so refreshing to watch ❤️ Our tradition with gifts for family members and parents is something we started doing a couple years ago. We make a big batch of apple cinnamon brandy (buy Brandy and pour into a large jar with simple syrup, apples, cloves and some cinnamon sticks- let it sit for 2 weeks) and give out mason jars of that, with homemade cookies and candies, and this year we also made homemade jam from berries from our yard! Everyone seems to love the homemade gifts more and it’s so much easier to do! With kids, I have 2 toddlers plus 1 preteen step son and we just do all types of wrapping paper but the Santa gifts are in Santa print paper 🎄 also the bigger stuff is always from mom and dad too- small stuff is from Santa! 🎅🏻
I am a last minute person, so typically about 2 am on Christmas Eve /Christmas morning I sit on the living room floor and watch It's a Wonderful Life. We also don't wrap the gifts from Santa. So that helps a little. :)
I have made a lot of stuff for Christmas this year. Both my parents died in the spring so I have been extra conscious to make this a good holiday for my self and my little one. So I kind of went ham on all the things. I am making it for myself, two sisters and an almost nine year old. So far I have made : Christmas meatballs x 2, Jansson's temptation, burned almonds, sugar cookie dough, rye cookie dough, homemade ginger bread house without any ginger since I am very allergic, saffron buns with vanilla filling. Yesterday I made saffron biscotti. Seems like I have really went to town. I started in November and froze a lot to give myself some grace. Happy holidays.
Is it just me that feels like I'm 95 years old on the floor my hips and knees girl whyyyy?!! My kids always open one gift Christmas eve. While we watch a Christmas movie 🎁🎄🧸🛷
My mom did that for my little sisters, we thought it was a great idea, until dec 16 when thieves stole our car out of the driveway , went joyriding, and trashed some in the snow. When it was located, the police had to keep it as evidence and it was too late to replace anything 🙁
When the kids were young I would make cookies the day we went and cut down/bought a tree and decorated it and turn on Christmas songs. I try to play songs still when wrapping presents. It helps to get me in the holiday mood. We also got the kids new jammies and let them open that present and 1 gift they chose Christmas eve so they could wear them that night and wear their new jammies Christmas morning. We'd spend the evening watching Christmas movies before bedtime. At one point in time I did have 1 wrapping paper per child but don't do it any more. I'm using wrapping paper from last year too. Merry Christmas! I may do the 1 color of paper for the grandson (He is almost 2) this year since we're going over the kids home for exchanging gifts.
Was positive at the end you'd say, "And that's a wrap!" Love the sweater you have on...color looks so good on you! I wrapped presents on Sunday. Took me awhile but I do like to use ribbon and tags and all of that! Yeah, I know. But it's fun and I've spent so much energy and time getting everything done so it's a nice finale to all those preparations...the decorating, the gift buying, putting the tree up and decorating that! By the time I wrap the presents, I know I'm done and the rest of the time I can just sit back and enjoy it all. Ahhhhhhhh.
My mom is an adult ICU respiratory therapist (the ones that operate ventilator machines in the hospitals) and works every other major holiday. When she's off for Thanksgiving, she works Christmas Day, and that flip flops every year. Counting my blessings that she's home for Christmas this year, after how awful 2020 has been!!
Christmas eve is my birthday and my whole childhood my dad's family would go to mass and then to my grandparents for presents. So for my birthday everyone was opening presents. 🤣 I actually really loved it. The morning of my birthday one of my aunts or uncles would take me out ice skating or shopping at the mall. It was one of my favorite holiday traditions.
I used to keep my son's gifts under his bed because he never looked or cleaned under it!😂
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

If you want to wrap the rocking horse, go with a bike bag! Love those things for big items!
Ooooooh solid tip!!
Your gift wrapping videos are my favorite because they aren’t just sped through and you actually talk!
I love how you just talk abt random stuff and traditions it makes the video so much more interesting and fun to watch!
I'm a nurse and my husband is a police officer. Thanks so much for your shout out! Love your videos! I decided to wrap along with you 😁
I love the family man with Nicholas Cage. Must see it every year. Merry Christmas!!
A favorite!!
She has such a relatable mom vibe!
Hi this is Michelle from Denver, just wanna say thanks for making me happy this morning, I think I can tackle my wrapping yay

@@StormyRiver8970 awesome!!
@@thewadsquad oh I will!! 😊
My Mother has four kids including Me and, She said she spent 2k on ours I'm so thankful for her
Thanks for bringing joy to my Saturday morning 🤗🤗🤗
That's what we do every year the kids all take turns and we get to watch them All together and don't have to rush thru the gifts
“Who’s was this” 😂 I have to organize everyone’s gifts into piles and wrap one pile at a time
That’s probably a good idea 💡
Same....it would be a nightmare if i didn't 😂😂
Gives me anxiety thinking the gifts will get messed up😂
@@elizabethanne6361 I know especially if I had to correct it someone would flip out lol
My unsuspecting Christmas movie favorite is While You Were Sleeping.
Me, too! No one gets it but me. Now I know that someone does!
Ooooooh I love Sandra bullock!!!
One of my favorite traditions is one that started when I visited my sis and her family one Christmas, driving around the neighborhood looking at decorations while playing Christmas radio. I do that with my kids now and it still gives me warm feelings.
When the wrapping paper is too long, I cut it off and use the scrap for when, inevitably, I cut one too short.
I love it
I got my guy a build a bear. They have a national lampoon Clark bear and he's a fan. So at 42 he's getting one. 😂
That's awesome 😂
No way that sounds amazing!!! Great gift
Thanks for the giggles this morning! I have never heard of opening with your feet may have to try that this year!
I LITERALLY was just thinking about when you were going to post this video and here it is LOL! But my husband is in the army so he has these things called tough boxes so I hide my kids gifts in there and overflow goes into my empty Christmas tree box. While gifts to and from family and friends go right under the tree.
Tough boxes- that’s a solid choice 👏🏻
I do cookie decorating parties with my nieces and nephews every year. My oldest is 17 and still loves doing it. It’s my absolute favorite tradition!
Thank you for wrapping like the rest of us!!! Especially that last gift 😂😂 it was so relatable xx🎄🎄🎄
Real life right here!! Thanks for appreciating it!!
Yes, I agree! So relatable and I love it ❤️
When my kids were little I kept some of their gifts at relatives houses so they could never find them and I picked them up about a week before Christmas.I am wrapping too! The little wrapping scraps I use to wrap the stocking stuffers. Even though it’s tedious to wrap all of the stocking stuffers it does make the morning Gina little longer as we all take turns open stockings and presents. 🎄
Kim we love spending time with you!! You always bring us happiness. Your our favorite youtuber around!!! Happy Saturday Kim!!! ❤❤❤🎅⛄🎄🎄
Just living on the edge this year.🤣😭
It’s a whole mood this year!! 🎄
Kept my daughter's gifts in suitcases. Great wrapping Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
I do that as well! And then when the storage bins from the decorations are empty, they get filled too!
My sister told me about a co-worker of her's use to empty her deep freezer, unplug it, gifts in it and lock it LOL
Hey Kim, glad to see you, Merry, Merry Christmas.
Glad to see you too 🎄♥️
I love how relatable you are and it’s so refreshing to watch ❤️ Our tradition with gifts for family members and parents is something we started doing a couple years ago. 🎅🏻
Love your wrap with me videos because you actually speak!! Hahaha
So glad you enjoy it!!!
I got my dad a beanie and some shirts, so makes like any clothing item. Or a puzzle , book, slippers, panini maker, blender...?
I am a last minute person, so typically about 2 am on Christmas Eve /Christmas morning I sit on the living room floor and watch It's a Wonderful Life. We also don't wrap the gifts from Santa. So that helps a little. :)
I keep looking at my pile going lve got heaps of time🤣
My husband and I also watch It's a Wonderful Life late into the night on Christmas Eve as we wrap gifts!
My favorite thing about christmas is doing my makeup holiday themed, watching christmas music, and The FOOD!🥰
Dollar tree had plastic Santa bags for the rocker.
I love your wrap with me because it have a little of everything that makes it fun to watch.
Omgosh I would have never thought to line more than one present on a sheet of paper. Such a great idea!
Is it just me that feels like I'm 95 years old on the floor my hips and knees girl whyyyy?!! My kids always open one gift Christmas eve. While we watch a Christmas movie 🎁🎄🧸🛷
i love wrapping gifts and im always the only one wrapping gifts because im actually really good at it
😂
All my gifts were 25 bucks limit i have 10 ppl to shop for im buying a condo next yr no splurging on gifts this year have a safe and wondwrful holiday
Oh my goodness chocolate ripple cake!!!! Best Australian Christmas desert!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Literally hiding all the gifts in the trunk of my car this year!! Kids are always home now!!!
Dang should have waited one more day to wrap gift but this kid of mine almost found his gift so I had to get on it !
Ahhhhhhhh.
I put my gifts in the garage inside the toilet paper box😂 works every time!
No ones looking in there for sure 👏🏻👏🏻
National lampoons Christmas vacation, one of my favorite Christmas movies, as well as Christmas story!❤️💕
Our family for males do like socks, aka the classic.
Shirts, jumpers, wine type stuff!
“I’ve never done karaoke”- Kim
*does karaoke for us in every video* 😂
Your wrapping paper analogy is a metaphor for 2020. I also used my "leftovers" wrapping paper this year as well! Very cute paper still!
Yes yes yes! 🎶 It's the gift wrapping season... 🎶
