The reason for dropping snow is to fill the gap between the tents. In winter camping, just a few gaps will allow a draft to blow in. It becomes very cold when sleeping. By filling the gaps and using a good sleeping bag, I was able to sleep comfortably even at -14℃.

My idea of roughing it is slow room service. That said, there ain't nothing like watching a nice fire burning in a cold tent. So, why do so many of these campers leave their tent flap entrances open all the time?
Perhaps closing the tent flaps might increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.

また、テントの中でポケットストーブに風防を使った理由が最後まで判らなかった。何か効果があったのだろうか？。
