    Easy to follow tutorial. Great mod. The first time I removed the freedom panels on my JK, and actually studied their design, I instantly thought that sunroofs should be an option from the factory. AWESOME video, my man! I'll be doing this this summer. Thanks!

      the editing and camera work is the thumbs down people, unfortunately RUclips is higher quality requirements now. this vertical shooting and bad light doesn't get far on YT.

    I'm going to do this mod on the weekend but I'm thinking I might add some tint or even a Sunshade for when the suns too annoying. Great work man!

    Awesome video! I'm surprised it doesn't have more views. You have really nice finished product there. I'm contemplating doing this to my hard top in the spring. You made it seem easy (I'm sure it wasnt). Nice to see someone have the courage to take on a DIY on such an expensive piece of the Jeep. I will be sharing this video on wrangler forums for sure.

    Pretty amazing job of NOT cracking that plexiglass while cutting on chairs. Great looking end result.

      yeah I went with some thick plexiglass.... the corners did chip a tad but I was able to sand them back smooth

    Lexan might be a better choice than plexiglass. I believe it resists scratching and is stronger. Costs more but still may be worth checking into its merits.

    That is an awesome video. I really love the music. Btw since all the freedom are all the same size you should look into getting a gasket made for your mod. Just an idea.

      The freedom panels are not all the same they changed the dimensions of the rear windows and the sizes of the actual Freedom panels as follows the JKs 07-11 one size and 12 to 18 Different sized.

    Wow crazy cool idea he definitely inspired me this will be happening but you do have me thinking of a way to block the Sun I'm thinking to rails with a piece of fabric you can slide back and forth I don't know it's a thought in progress I might just ditch it

      RAW KUSTOMS $5K US and you can get full front and back tops with actual glass, I think that is the price for black or pay a couple thousand more or so and get colour matched

      they are actually around $1500 to have made. My jeep had come with a set made by JEETOP. (you had to supply them the tops I was told. I have no clue if they are still in Buisness, but I would do them this way before paying that much anyways... Great job my friend!

    This came out soo nice! Great thought with the flexseal! You made this look really easy, but I'm sure it wasn't. How is it holding up with weather and time? I am contemplating doing this, but I think I want another set of panels to do this. What size plexi/acrylic did you get?

      Joe... they held up great for two years after I made them... I’ve since sold them. I’m not sure how there doin now but I’ve got a feeling they are holding up just fine!
