    With the soil having a high ph you can’t get away with a lower ph with the water when feeding. You would have to read the run off with the soil with the high ph.

    Can this soil you made here , go from seed to harvest???

  • @Horse237
    @Horse237 5 лет назад +1

    I would just go with 50% soil with some added soil biology and 50% worm castings. I would plant my seeds in that and transplant when the ground is warm enough for transplanting.
    A highly paid agricultural consultant told me to soak seeds for 24 hours in clean water with chelated cobalt, copper, manganese zinc and a trace amount of boron.
    I am looking forward to starting my first garden. Still studying and learning.

    • @BuildASoil
      @BuildASoil  5 лет назад +1

      50% castings would be absolutely awful in performance over a properly balanced potting soil with worms added. If you want to soak seeds in the trace mineral formula I would up the anty and go for a product like Dr. Faust Cytoplus. It has those trace minerals chelated with humic acid with the wonderful addition of some seaweed extract also proven to help seeds germinate.

      Little late, but he gets into that on the garden talk podcast and expresses that he didn’t like it for water retention and air quality reasons for the mixing crew, he acknowledges how the extra retention and hood CE can be beneficial, but doesn’t outweigh the downsides in their case.

      Sure just read ingredients! Bushdoctor is literally just Yucca extract and water. Once you know that it should kinda piss you off that they want you to pay so freaking much for such a small amount of Yucca. Unless it's thick like molasses it's not worth the money. The MSDS shows just the Yucca and the Percentage of ingredient is proprietary. I'll bet it's less than 5% yucca and 95% Water (Inert Ingredients)
