How on earth were Richard and Judy presenters for so long?

I don't mind them. I'd have them over the likes of Phil Schofield any day. That guy's a highly slappable creep.

"Could you sit properly Ulrika?" cut to Rich sat in a crazy position

They’re being funny on purpose, but Richard doesn’t realise he is a true life partridge

How did Richard and Judy ever get hired? And what have they got against Ulrika? Judy trying to dig her out on TV.

Looks to me like Ulrika has just bombed Bob off.

Was there anything going on between Bob and Ureika?

Ulrika has absolutely no banter or wit. I have nothing against her but she's not spontaneous or funny. I never understood why Vic and Bob liked her for Shooting Stars. Like she said herself, all she does is sit there and laugh. She offers nothing unless it's scripted.

I remember seeing the Shooting Stars/Fast Show live at the Hammersmith Odeon (or whatever). All the R&M crew were horribly pissed when they came on, and the only thing I vividly remember of their half was someone in the audience shoutung "shut up you drunken b****" at her. There was no comeback, but she did at least shut up.

I think that's exactly why they chose her. The whole point of Shooting Stars was that the celebs were just fodder. That's the joke, get all these celebrities on, then sideline them. And they seemed to particularly revel in having slightly stuffy people on like Sue Cook, John Craven, Gordon Burns, etc. I think Ulrika kind of fits this category as she does put on airs a bit. But I think they developed a genuine rapport with her in the end.

Ulrika and Mark were often used to set up jokes. (Especially Ulrika). She is very extremely intelligent, which helps her takes the jokes well and at the end of the day that is what Vic and Bob wanted. She was very good and entertaining at the scripted sections, had great chemistry with Bob and came across as caring and kind which was a direct contrast to Marks reserved moody role in the show, which perfected the balance between the cast. That is why Vic and Bob wanted her for the show!
