That's a great upgrade. I can tell Ford cheaped out on the tail gate handle/latch as well which also stick and break sometimes.

Really? How can you "tell"? I've had a 2011 F150 for nine years and the tailgate latch never stuck or broke. Had an F350 for eight years the same. Have had my current F350 for four years with no problems. But, somehow you can "tell." Sure...hey - since you're so good at predicting the future, can you give me next week's winning PowerBall number?

    You rascal, Rich!
You just cost me some dollars!
Didn’t know such a thing was available, but I sure wanted one!
Guess the money I saved by not having to buy aTPMS relearn tool, I put to this!
Dinking around Saturday, looking at maintenance records to see what maybe needed done before this cold wicked weather hits!
Tires needed rotated, so got all over on that!
My 16 XLT, to relearn TPMS, you know this I’m sure, but I didn’t!
Turn key on, got hazard lights 6 times!
Horn honked, message said relearn TPMS. Start left front, went out and released 2-4lbs air, horn honked, message said RF, and on around!
    TPMS relearn complete!
    Note that was easy!

It’s all preference; I’m an exterminator and I may drop my gate 20 times a day, that soft drop is so nice. I pull the latch and walk away to setup for the job. But I forget the exact statistic that some 60% of truck owners never tow nor drop the tailgate during ownership. But I hear ya, I have crank windows because the power ones don’t last.

I did this on my 2020 and my bolts fought me too. I think they put thread locker or something on them from the factory. I grabbed some matching paint and rattle-canned the bracket body color and installed. I just had my wife hold the tailgate up while I swapped. A really nice upgrade. I think they should all come from the factory with this damper. So much better than those Dee-zee aftermarket dampers.

Since your the best on RUclips for the 10R80. I got one that last week when it shifted into 3rd it would shutter. Reset the transmission tables on for scan and now it won't go into 3rd. When I got the truck had a shop reset the trans tables and at randoms starting from a stop the truck had a really bad jerk. What do you think it could be? Have truck going to dealership in two weeks to get the PCM and TCM flashed relearned and updated. But do you think it is that or valve body? 18 F150 2.7 eco 82,000 miles
