Lol no, this theory is held together by one single detail of a girl having a toy chica.
It was not to show it was a dream but to show that there were not only 5 victims like matpat aaid in the previous theories to this one.
But that there were actually another 5 and the toy animatronics were possessed too.

I genuinely believe this was right
To this day, I still think this video cracked it. Finished off the story, completed its lore. But Scott saw this and realised we figured it out sooner than intended, so he made more games and added more secrets, names and animatronics etc to keep us going.
And also because of the controversy,
Dream theory in any franchise is looked down upon.
No, the girl that took off the Chica beak of her toy is a nod at the fact that she was the one who possesed toy chica later on, hence why toy chica had this strange behavior herself when chasing.
It was not to point towards a dream of the things CC saw diring the day.

I think it’s not a big deal.
The way the story seems to have gone is that the games aren’t necessarily exact depictions of events, but are possibly based on real events.
It’s a cop out in a way telling us that anything we’ve seen can be retconned without any more explanation other than, “it was faked to cover up the real story”
Even like he says at the end: FNaF 1-4 might be all dreams, but it doesn’t mean that every individual thing we hear about is a dream. The problem is that we don’t know what pieces are part of the dreams and what pieces aren’t.
Maybe the entire thing is a dream, but I also agree with him that the death minigames make zero sense if thats true.
And while writing that last comment, I decided to do a bit of research- the Atari 2600 was the most popular gaming console in the year 1982 before the video game crash of 1983… Fredbear and Friends 1983… maybe it wasn’t a cartoon. Maybe it was a game for the Atari 2600.
I think that detail may have been overlooked because it’s hard to tell what is an Atari game and what isn’t when the minigames are Atari style games already. How do we know whether the Fredbear and Friends 1983 thing on the TV is a game or a cartoon? But it would kinda explain it.
Hmm… I really wish Scott would explain his original design for the story :( I want to know how all the pieces were supposed to fit together originally.

It may not be satisfying but simply making sense without any contradictions or massive leaps in logic makes it substantially *more* ‘perfect’ than the story that fnaf has since gotten retconned into.

I know the lore of all FNAF :the windmill appears in every FNAF so it causes everything.
I honestly liked this theory, and knowing that Scott has changed the whole story many times (sometimes even in response to a Matpat theory) this could have been one of the old stories he crafted before.

@@capo_gambino1359 like he said scott has changed the entire lore more than once so this is probably what scott was thinking at the time... fun fact whenever i first heard of the toy animatronics i literally thought the guy who was talking about was talking about a scene in toy story and i have always kinda believed the name toy was wierd for a robot. plus the things scott said were obviously hinting towards a dream. if he didn't rewrite the story then he gave clues to something other than fnaf because he is saying that it is a dream for sure

It becomes a jumpscare at first, but when you finally get up and look inside your closet with a flashlight, it was just your plushie all along. HE WAS IMAGINING IT.

Lol I would do that. Often times the fans can come up with something extraordinarily more creative and entertaining.

I think it's a little of both. Scott has a *very* vague outline of events and drops a few clues, but mostly just seems to put in whatever he thinks is cool/spooky. MatPat then takes everything super seriously and explains why nothing makes sense, so Scott goes in and adds other, even more complicated clues, leading to even more advanced theories, leading to more complex games, in a never-ending loop

Retrospectively, this theory was definitely true. FNAF 1-3 was a fever dream in the mind of the crying child after he got bit. Scott changed his mind and retconned it in the fifth game

Honestly, I think it's still debatable this theory is true, sure SL implies Michael is the player character in the other games, but nothing explicitly says so, and there's really no solid evidence for it outside of the name Mike and an explanation for being fired 'for tampering with the animatronics' which always used to be confusing for theorists to use (said evidence making them think the player was the killer himself seeing as it didnt make much sense for anyone else to be disassembling them, but now it's just confusing since it probably is supposed to be Michael (outside of Spring-trap's origin cutscene) taking apart and freeing the animatronics
