She asked if I had asked God what He wanted me to do. I remember telling her... I already know what God wants me to do. And she gently reminded me to be obedient. And just trust. I never really thought of it before but after hearing your message I wonder if fear is the devils way of keeping someone in a little box? Fear of putting yourself out there and making a success of yourself? No problem, fear will set in and keep you stagnant. Don’t grow, stay fearful and don’t share your light. You did a fabulous job, you're a natural whether you think so or not. I run two YT channels, Simply Relaxed Videos & The Prayer Chain and have been trying to grow them. I thought it would be so easy (listened to too many gurus, I think) - I love content creation (and learning all the skills that go with it), but have been getting a little less traction than I would like. I was hit with tragedy and death all through 2023, but instead of stopping, I just plowed on through. I hope to be able to keep my head down and focus in 2024 and still have time to work on my other ventures (Etsy and my own website) - but it is soooo much. I keep hearing in the back of my head "that next video (or design) will be the one that takes off, so keep going." Not seeing results is hard - but in 2024 - I am trying to look past the numbers and keep doping what I love, praying it will pay off in the future.
Why would you be turned off by anyone bringing their faith out? Remember the song "This little light of mine?" We are to let the light of Jesus shine not cover it up and we are to share it with others.
I agree with you. Religion was forced on me as a kid and I grew up resenting it. Everyone has their own belief system and I don't need someone else's forced on me. This video did none of that, it was just her story & perspective.

Hi Christina! I'm just now getting caught up on your videos, been a crazy, busy year. I love that you did this and overcame your biggest fear! FYI, you are not alone in this fear because approx. 90% of people have this very fear. When I was in college, I took Public Speaking and was terrified, literally... however, after learning in that class, I can honestly say that my fear was completely gone about halfway through the Semester and when the class was over, I had wished it just began!!! Great job on your speech, Christina and I truly love that you lean on God and trust that he knows what is best for you and for all of us!! Thank you for being obedient to his calling for you and I'm grateful to have followed your channel(s) since a little bit before 2020, could be longer but I can't exactly remember. You were the FIRST furniture flipper that I ever watched and I've learned so much from you and I'm still trying to work on furniture but it's a much slower process for me with the chronic pain I endure daily. I won't give up though and I'm hoping it gets going even better at some point. Thank you for all of the amazing advice and tips and encouragement!!!! I just adore you, sweetheart. I was amazed at your video. The fear before your speech is personal, and I would bet it's personal to so many people. But I'm also amazed of all your videos, this one has a smaller number of views than most of your reels. So many are missing the truths you spoke of. And so many are missing the truth (TRUTH ) that God is your pilot and my pilot. HE coaches us, HE enables us, and sometimes HE catches us! What a lovely talk. I'm probably twice your age and I have created for decades starting with quilting in the 1970s, teaching, refinishing, a little painting and furniture creation, even woodworking. Still I'm about to dive back in to refinishing a $40 piece we've had for 10+ years and paint, add architectural details and transfers, and add to our decor. Good job! I'm so glad you said yes to that urge, gladder still that you said yes to God and then experienced the release from a fear that had dogged you for perhaps a long time! Gosh, I hope I meet you someday-- who knows where life will lead each of us! Blessings!

Yes, I also have faced my greatest fear, of something happening to one of my kids..Two years I had to face the loss of my 33 yr-old daughter, suddenly without any warning. she passed due to injuries from a car wreck...I have no fear anymore, but I DO HAVE GUILT AND REGRET AND GRIEF.

PLEASE HELP Christina,PLEASE!! I desperately need your expertise! Over the last couple of years, I have had such a desire to give my bedroom furniture a facelift. I’d describe the pieces as extremely ORNATE and dark in color. Before painting with Beyond Paint, I would like to simplify the pieces and consider filling in a lot of the busy detailing. Unfortunately I’m unsure what is the correct product to use: Do I use a wood filler or a Bondo type product? Wishing you continued success! Thank you
Bondo would be your best bet if you have a good orbital sander. If not, regular wood filler would work (I like DAP plastic wood) just might have to do multiple fillings and there will be a longer fill time. Christina! That was marvelous! It was definitely strange to hear MTSU on an online platform because I've worked there for the past 11 years. Lol But don't you just love when you know it was exactly right; terrifying, but right. When you're nervous energy stills, and you may end your speech not knowing anything you just said, but you're positive it was there ministering to someone, even just one someone, it makes everything worth it!! Keep speaking, and I know God will keep ministering. Thank you for your word. I'm kind of on the other end of the spectrum where I feel something in the ether, but it hasn't revealed itself yet. I’ve feared failure my entire life after being trained to worry about what others think, worry about how I spoke, how I acted, how I looked, it’s important to put on the appearance you’ve got it all together and come from a perfect home. If I want to try something new but don’t know what others will think I won’t even try for fear I’ll fail then I’ll really know what they think. This was truly a blessing to stumble across your video this morning while at the gym on a treadmill fearing I might not succeed at getting all this weight off and if I don’t I’ll let others down with my failure. But what if I succeed……will God use me to then be able to encourage another? You’ve given me a lot to think on. ❤

Hi Christina! I'm just now getting caught up on your videos, been a crazy, busy year. I love that you did this and overcame your biggest fear! FYI, you are not alone in this fear because approx. 90% of people have this very fear. When I was in college, I took Public Speaking and was terrified, literally... however, after learning in that class, I can honestly say that my fear was completely gone about halfway through the Semester and when the class was over, I had wished it just began!!! Great job on your speech, Christina and I truly love that you lean on God and trust that he knows what is best for you and for all of us!! Thank you for being obedient to his calling for you and I'm grateful to have followed your channel(s) since a little bit before 2020, could be longer but I can't exactly remember. You were the FIRST furniture flipper that I ever watched and I've learned so much from you and I'm still trying to work on furniture but it's a much slower process for me with the chronic pain I endure daily. I won't give up though and I'm hoping it gets going even better at some point. Thank you for all of the amazing advice and tips and encouragement!!!! I just adore you, sweetheart. I was amazed at your video. The fear before your speech is personal, and I would bet it's personal to so many people. But I'm also amazed of all your videos, this one has a smaller number of views than most of your reels. So many are missing the truths you spoke of. And so many are missing the truth (TRUTH ) that God is your pilot and my pilot. HE coaches us, HE enables us, and sometimes HE catches us! What a lovely talk.
I'm probably twice your age and I have created for decades starting with quilting in the 1970s, teaching, refinishing, a little painting and furniture creation, even woodworking. Still I'm about to dive back in to refinishing a $40 piece we've had for 10+ years and paint, add architectural details and transfers, and add to our decor.
Good job! I'm so glad you said yes to that urge, gladder still that you said yes to God and then experienced the release from a fear that had dogged you for perhaps a long time! Gosh, I hope I meet you someday-- who knows where life will lead each of us! Blessings!

Yes, I also have faced my greatest fear, of something happening to one of my kids..Two years I had to face the loss of my 33 yr-old daughter, suddenly without any warning. she passed due to injuries from a car wreck...I have no fear anymore, but I DO HAVE GUILT AND REGRET AND GRIEF.

I desperately need your expertise! Over the last couple of years, I have had such a desire to give my bedroom furniture a facelift. I’d describe the pieces as extremely ORNATE and dark in color. Before painting with Beyond Paint, I would like to simplify the pieces and consider filling in a lot of the busy detailing. Unfortunately I’m unsure what is the correct product to use: Do I use a wood filler or a Bondo type product? Wishing you continued success! Thank you
Bondo would be your best bet if you have a good orbital sander. If not, regular wood filler would work (I like DAP plastic wood) just might have to do multiple fillings and there will be a longer fill time. Christina! That was marvelous! It was definitely strange to hear MTSU on an online platform because I've worked there for the past 11 years. Lol But don't you just love when you know it was exactly right; terrifying, but right. When you're nervous energy stills, and you may end your speech not knowing anything you just said, but you're positive it was there ministering to someone, even just one someone, it makes everything worth it!! Keep speaking, and I know God will keep ministering. Thank you for your word. I'm kind of on the other end of the spectrum where I feel something in the ether, but it hasn't revealed itself yet. I’ve feared failure my entire life after being trained to worry about what others think, worry about how I spoke, how I acted, how I looked, it’s important to put on the appearance you’ve got it all together and come from a perfect home. If I want to try something new but don’t know what others will think I won’t even try for fear I’ll fail then I’ll really know what they think. This was truly a blessing to stumble across your video this morning while at the gym on a treadmill fearing I might not succeed at getting all this weight off and if I don’t I’ll let others down with my failure. But what if I succeed……will God use me to then be able to encourage another? You’ve given me a lot to think on. ❤

I have been watching your videos for the last few years and love them because you really have a way of energizing someone to be creative. When I saw your speech and you started talking about god, that really turned me off. I was so disappointed.
