We have sweet potatoes here. Some are labeled sweet potatoes then there's those that are labeled yams. I honestly don't know what the difference is, lol. However I've never seen sweet potato powder in my neck of the woods. Love yams and cheesecake but not sure how both would go together. Yours looks good though. Love that shade of purple... 👍

Yes yam is similar. You can also use them with the same method. They are called taro. They are as good. Both will come out quite similar taste. If you're using yam, you can go for taro powder or you can use potato powder is also fine ☺️

Hi dear. I'm glad you enjoyed the recipe. The purple powder isn't sugar. It's a sweet potato powder which happens to be purple. You can also use taro powder which is purple too. Shalom ❤️
