George purposely stayed in the background not to overshadow any of his friends when he colloborated on their songs he wanted the girls and Deon and Andrew to be recognized for their own talents he even called and apologized to Shirlie when his duet with Aretha went to number 1 on the charts and knocked Pepsi and Shirlie down Shirlie told him he neededn't feel bad she was happy for him
they were friends after High Shirlie and Andrew dated starting after they left High School then Andrew introduced her to George and they became very close best friends and Pepsi aka Helen came along after Dee Cee Lee left Dee Cee is still close to them Shirlie was supposed to have Christmas Lunch with George but it wasn't to be but they did visit with each other weeks before he passed and the parted ways saying I love you and Andrew also saw him around the same time and Andrew cooked and they played Scrabble as Andrew says he was exacting his revenge because George had beaten him a week or so before LOL Shirlie also said she asked George are you happy and do you like being famous or however she said it and he smiled that smile and said Yes! so she can find peace in that thye said I love you before he was taken from her and I am sure Andrew has similar peace but they took his passing hard Andrew said his knees gave out when Melanie called with the news he had just texted George having no idea that George had already when home with his mother and Anselmo holding his hand
Ok funky I knew before I checked the year it was early 90’s it has that too funky vibe George Michael was such a great song writer and I did t know Pepsi and Shirley could sing so well here in the U.S nothing was really mentioned about them outside of wham very nice
