Please go to Taiwan that is your real origin of your country. Please don't come to New Zealand.

Thanks for the video, great work but Jeepers... where have the people gone? ..i've seen more people going down the main street of Taihape than this... Queen Street used to be a bustling Metropolis back in the 90's/2000's, and earlier.. if this is the future for Aucklands biggest Street in the city then, i want a rates credit.. what the've done is a total disaster imho

Despite the fact this video is in the morning, the reality is, there is nothing to come into town for these days. Retail and hospitality was decimated by covid lockdowns, offices have ended their leases in the CBD, the place has been choked by road closures, orange cones and construction for the last 6 years (with new projects begun before old ones are finished), and the rate of crime and anti-social behaviour is ridiculous. No attempt has been made by Auckland Council to mitigate any of these factors, because fundamentally, they are only interested in three ideological agendas: eliminating cars, prioritising Maori, and veneer marketing (i.e. trying to convey that everything is great, when it's clearly anything but). I know because I've lived in the CBD through it all.

@@foreignparticle1320 i hear yu bro, totally agree, it's an absolute shocker , requires govnt intervention, and a good kick up the arse to the current council, thought Wayne Brown was gonna be our savior... but just more of the same, disgusting what they've done to our once great CBD hub

Sane people keep out of the CBD these days because we value our lives and safety.
In fact many people are getting out of Auckland full stop, because in reality it's a miserable and stressful place to live. Yes, I am an Aucklander born and bred 63 years.

@@mrpaisleyshirt You are not going to be hurt or murdered if you come into town - at least, no more than you risk being so anywhere else in Auckland. But you'll see people panhandling, sleeping rough and treating the CBD like it's their personal lounge or clubhouse. And if you have a shop, you'll probably lose stock to shoplifting. And if you're driving, you'll probably wish you hadn't. If you're shopping, you won't find anything worth buying. Ultimately, the CBD is a ragged, ugly, emaciated shadow of its former self. A testament to the gross negligence of the Council.
