A TYPICAL NEW ZEALAND NEIGHBOURHOOD WALK

- Today I am keeping it local. This is the neighborhood I live in. I will take you for a walk through 3 suburbs all within the Whangaparaoa Peninsula, Hibiscus Coast district. This area is about 40 minutes from Auckland City and is surrounded by many beaches, one we see in the video, Arkles Beach. Enjoy the video. I really do enjoy making them. Thanks.

If I could choose another country besides Canada, I would choose New Zealand. If I have to return to planet earth, New Zealand would be my pick.
Yes..bro..me too.. canada and new Zealand always
Why would you choose New Zealand? New Zealand has a weak currency compared to Canada. But can I know why you would choose New Zealand?
Ummm because I live here .
@@amirbako3565 I would choose New Zealand because it has a longer growing season, warmer climate, it seems cleaner, the people are more content, not everyone wants to go there to sponge off the regular folks.
True bit you better have money to afford a house and make sure you don't get robbed aye
So peaceful and calming, what a beautiful walk, good old kiwi footpaths from the 60s still going strong, lol. And some really cool property's, a home right next to a public walkway, now that's trusting. Paradise.
Thank you. Yes not to bad is it. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for the support. 🙂
Love it, I’m in the uk and I hate how all the houses look the same roads look the same, I love how NZ homes are all different with beautiful trees around a proper suburb
@SageMaujean - "I love how NZ homes are all different...."
Usually, but unfortunately not always. There are some suburbs where the houses are almost identical in many streets.
NZ had a "state house" building program back in the 1930s-40s (I think) and that resulted in a number of suburbs which have almost identical houses - mostly pretty run-down and badly-maintained now. Wainuiomata, the Hutt Valley and Porirua (all of them not far from Wellington) are examples. So are the South Auckland suburbs - Mangere, Otara, Papakura.
This is a pretty nice area. Some of it's typical, some of it's quite well heeled.
It definitely is, thats for sure.
Ugh, NZ is just soooo relaxing and beautiful! Must be almost like heaven to live somewhere like this! Dreamy-cookie-cutter-like life.
Enjoyed the drive, seeing and hearing you. Please continue. Kiwi and Texan

It's not to bad. Thanks for watching 🙂
❤❤❤
Arkels bay is not a typical New Zealand walk! You have to be reasonably wealthy to live there.
There are lots of beaches in New Zealand. Arkles beach is one of about 16 beaches in my area which is a peninsular. And I am far from wealthy.
😆, well thats true.. you can also be unwealthy to enjoy a typical walk anywhere in New Zealand.
Fair point.
Please more videos
Love from India 🇮🇳 😊
Great to know I am reaching India. Thanks so much for watching.
So beautiful 🤩 love from India ❤ (19/07/24)
And love from New Zealand. Thanks so much for watching 🙂

23 👍 Yes, yes, yes. ❤
very nice country newziland
Thank you. Yes it is pretty good. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it. 🙂
what a beautiful neighborly life here. may I ask? is this rural or city?
Neither. It is in the suburbs. Urban I guess.
Arkles Bay is on the Southern side of the Whangaparoa Peninsula about 25km North of the Harbour Bridge and would be classified as a "Feeder Suburb", ie: not directly part of the city, but close enough to act as a suburb. It is also one of the wealthier areas to live in, as is most of the Peninsula. (Sea views and quiet = expensive to buyh)
Yes very expensive to buy. That's why I rent lol.
only some people i saw around not same other country
This isn't a typical neighborhood in NZ. Most of this is very upper-middle to upper class.
Big video sand
yes nice sand
Where it is.
I come to New Zealand please help me
if i live in nz i will walk everyday i really love the ambiance and the greenery of the place its so relaxing
Yes it beautiful.

Gopro 11 on a gimble.
í lσvє nєw zzzzzzzzzzzzzєαlαnd.....❤
Me too 🙂
I love New Zealand please help me
No stay in your own country
The amount of ads in the video is out of control 🤦
That's RUclips, not me. That's a shame. Thanks for letting me know. I will look into it.
I am French-speaking and I want to immigrate to New Zealand. Please what job pays well in new zealand? Which job would you recommend to me please?
As with anywhere in the world, qualifications get you more money. Perhaps a job in the public sector. The minimum wage here is $23.15 an hour.
Thank you for your reply. But if it's the public sector that we can make money, I, who don't have a degree in English, what do I do?
Or are there areas in which I can get a job without a diploma but in the public sector?
Yes many areas.
Okay thank you very much. Do you live in New Zealand?
Which city is this in nz
It's technically Auckland but not Auckland City. This was filmed in different suburbs throughout Hibiscus Coast on the Whangaparaoa Peninsular.
Arkles Bay; no hate; but it's a neighbourhood for the, not so typical Kiwi.
place is too good to live. But major fuck up is no employment
You are misinformed. There is heaps of work up here
Why there’s no a sing person?
Quiet street. It was a week day. Everyone at work.
@@offthecouchwalks oh got it. New subscriber here :)
Thank you so much. I really appreciate the support.
No commentary
That's the whole idea. It's a silent walking channel. I having started making every second video a vlog. Check out my last 2 videos.
Bro u walk a l9ng way
That's just a small walk 😉
😂😂😂😂😂 That's not a typical NZ view at all. Most don't live in such locations or houses. I know, I live in NZ.
You're misrepresenting reality for most.
No I'm not. This is my neighborhood. Thanks for your opinion.
Not typical.
Typical is defined by your version of things. Thanks for your enlightening comment. 👍
@@offthecouchwalks If it's my definition that is correct why did you choose to use it.?
This walk is pretty and generally picturesque but is far from typical of the suburbs found throughout modern NZ towns and cities. Try Mangere (Auckland) or Sydenham (Christchurch) or Flagstaff (Hamilton) or Otorohanga, which, all for different reasons may as well be on another planet from this clip.
Fair comment. For example, I did a video about New Zealands most expensive street ruclips.net/video/nXOBLO462-U/видео.html or at least it was at the time of filming. For most people, that is not typical living. Then you take this video, which I would call middle class, and then, as you mentioned, south Auckland, etc. My point was that we all have our own definition of typical. Cheers for watching. Appreciate you doing so. 🙂
Neighbourhood new Zealand
The biggest problem NZ has is terrible govt decade after decade have ruined the nation making it very difficult to survive there. I was born in NZ but have not been back for more than a decade and it makes no financial sense to return. The depressing fact is I cannot afford to live in the country I was born in
No government has your best interest at heart. They just want your coin.
@@offthecouchwalks totally agree!
Which part of New Zealand. Say something about the place. Put in some voice over.
Read the description in the video.
@@offthecouchwalks 😂
Add some music.....
Is this a majority white populated County
Nope. Multicultural. What made you think that 🤔
@@offthecouchwalks statistics in books and internet
Predominantly, it is New Zealand European and Maori. But like most countries, we have many cultures that have immigrated here. Asians are here to study mostly. We also have a lot from India and the cook islands. But many different cultures are here.
Yes its quite obviously a White country and others just live in it. The natives were still eating each other when trains and cameras existed.
A place for introverts
Sounds good to me 😉
