    Honda doesn't sell a Civic coupe anymore, but the Hatch is here to deliver the same great profile and even more cargo capacity. This 2022 model is the same great Civic we've come to know (and love). It drives beautifully and flaunts an interior that makes other economy cars look downright shoddy. Cliff Atiyeh has driven plenty of Civics over the years. Is this the best one, yet?

    It's nice, I own this in the sport but not the touring. The most annoying thing about this car is the heat does not "kick" if that's what you like. I do like the heat to kick but i read that it isnt suppose to "kick". Otherwise it handles great and gets good gas mileage.

    CG, I was able to find 30 used 2022-2023 civic hatchbacks with a 6-speed manual transmission and the 2.0 liter NA (port-injected and preferred by me) engine across the nation on Cargurus website as of 19 September 2023. Things are looking up for me. If Honda was able to incorporate both direct and port fuel injection, like Toyota and Hyundai/Kia have been able to, then I might consider that option if it existed. I could live fine with 158 hp and 138 tq with the 2.0 liter engine Honda offers. I prefer that if it means I don't have to deal with carbon build-up on the intake valves due to the direct injectors.

    Nice review! I ordered the same vehicle back on Feb. 28,2022 from the Honda dealer in Appleton WI and was just informed that the TPD(tentative production date) was pushed back once again. This has happened over and over now. Has anyone else experienced this same thing? Is Honda just not giving the Civic, hatchback, Touring etc the same priority as the CR-V. I know some of them are being produced. What is going on in Indiana. Parts shortage? Just for Civics?
    This is very disappointing and the reality is that reviewers, car mags, car brokers etc are NOT giving this the attention it deserves. To see the TV commercials, websites etc, you would think that things are the same as they always were. They are much different and that deserves more attention. I have to wonder if I will every actually be driving this vehicle around. I did put down a substantial deposit! Disappointed in Wisconsin.

    Thank you for the information. I have one question that I hope some reader from the Southwest US reads this. I live in LA and in the summers, it gets hot. My current 06 Matrix, the AC works ok until it hits 95 degrees. Anything above 95 and my Matrix is warm/hot. So if there is any 2022 Civic owner in Arizona, Vegas and any place hot, may I ask how good is the AC on this hatchback? I am thinking of this car or buying a Corolla. Some Corolla owner said his AC is not very good in hot hot temp. Any feedback is appreciated.

    You also don’t get a collection of consumer products like the other vehicles and it’s higher pricing. The EX trims lost HD Radio and SiriusXM options. You also aren’t able to have that equipped if you wanted. It’s disappointing as I would rather have factory XM than a standalone player or having to rely on my phone constantly for connection in places I have no cell signal. Honda’s HondaLink application is useless when compared to the NissanaConnect, Uvo in Kia, and Hyundai Blue Link options that give you a suite of options like phone to car navigation, concierge services, remote start from smart devices like your phone and smart speakers and door lock options. The 2022 Honda is dumbed down in the EX compared to the 2020 I have. The screen feels more personable and colorful and provides options to not make it so static and boring. In the EX trim it’s bland boring and does nothing. The stereo unable to comprehend HD radio stations around the country and free OTA channels built into HD radio that offer alternative music options if you do just FM. The seats still don’t offer lumbar support and are very uncomfortable from my 2020 and the 2022 felt a bit worse or about the same. Def did not step up seat quality like VW did with the new Taos. I’m on the fence moving into the 22 civic as it seems lackluster and missing tech that other cars have implemented.

    • @alvinsimba734
      @alvinsimba734 2 года назад

      More tech means more problems down the road with today's cars. Honda itself as a brand is playing catchup pn features compared to competition like toyota and others. At least at toyota you have more options on what engines and packages you want at an affordable price along with features including in the lower trims to. The only thing Honda is good at is horsepower but as far as hybrid technology is concerned they are so far behind compared to rest and that's where they will suffer along with engine choices in compact sedans.
