      Daniel Brewster they are interested in Charlemange, Angela, and Envy...but more importantly, the people they interview. Nor sure if you’re aware but they could get that same reach on the internet without the FM radio portion. I only watch the RUclips videos. ANd sometimes the podcast they upload from the show. That’s not even radio. They been down 10 years, they no longer need power 105.

The biggest contributors to me are these things. You all have a professional background that’s respected. You’re household names. You’re all confident kings and queens. Your interview questions are provocative, funny, timely, sometimes challenging and interesting. You also have a long format interview platform like Stern does that allows you to develop a relationship with with people instead of trying to jam all of your questions into a 18-19 minute interview. Keep up the good work. Love u guys. CTG stop stepping on Angela. It’s probably unintentional but it comes across as rude. Angela these braids are a good look. Keep that look handy. Peace ✊🏿

She is an icon and she is a talent but don't put her in that 80's category of icons she is a 90's icon...She may have been signed to record company in the late 80's but her album didnt come out until 1990..I just want that stated for the record! She isn't part of the of solo artists that came out in the 80's such as MJ, Prince, Whitney and Ms. Jackson.

    I was in another room listening to this. I was totally surprised to SEE that Steve Stout is a black man. His whole delivery, mindset and motives are those of a WHITE person. What Black person has not heard of the history or celebrate Juneteenth? I am a native Californian raised in Marin County in the Marin City projects. We were taught and celebrated Juneteenth since I was a child. I guess that is because the shipyards were in Sausalito and Marin City was a community of Black folks from the south, mainly Texas, Mississippi and New Orleans who came West to work in the West Coast shipyards during World War II. Different time, different breed of black folk. We were taught our history and were taught to be proud of our history as Black folks in this country. Marin City had black businesses, we saw black doctors, black teachers, black pharmacists, black sheriffs, black coaches, black high school counselors etc. even when we went to the white schools in Sausalito and Mill Valley. I get so tired of black folks saying they don't know their history. Whose fault is that? You never asked or went to a library to find out. You never wanted to get the information for yourself? Sankafoa- a West African word meaning- if you do not know your past, you cannot move into your future. Suggest you first read "The Destruction of Black Civilization" by
    Chancellor Williams to begin to learn where you come from and what you can be.

      @user-qd6im2hp2e 4 года назад +1

      Shan 323 Drake has had a great decade of success. Wayne made a big contribution towards that whether you want to give Wayne his props or not. Drake signed to the number 1 rapper in the world at the time, which enabled him to tap into his fanbase as he was coming up during the So Far Gone era and even pre-So Far Gone, which accelerated the process of him blowing up, which is the same thing Em did when 50 signed to him, 50 was able to tap into Em’s fanbase and blow up quicker. During the Carter 3 era, Drake was on tour with Wayne and would sing Bobby Valentino’s part on “Mrs Officer” and would perform with him a lot in general, Wayne gave him that platform when Drake wasn’t as known. He gave him 3-4 features on So Far Gone in 09, whilst being the number 1 rapper in the world, which was a big deal back then, everybody was surprised at how hard he was going for Drake, and made it seem like they were on the same level, which they were not at the time. The Young Money album in 09 gave Drake more exposure as well as being on Dedication 3 in 08. He also encouraged Drake to not feel the pressure to rap about the things that Wayne rapped about and to be himself. Wayne was also Drake’s gateway into the streets when he signed to Wayne and was doing songs with Wayne, Drake’s image up to that point was still associated with Degrassi and even people made fun of him when he did the “Replacement Girl” video with Trey Songz in 07, people were comparing him to Bow Wow back then. Wayne gave him street credibility and allowed him to move away from that Degrassi image. Also let’s stop acting like Drake wasn’t rapping like Wayne during late 08-2010. Wayne heavily influenced Drake’s rapping style.

    1st time I heard a Steve stouts interview where I fell he didn’t keep it a 💯...he danced all around those Dolan knicks comments. And the spike lee thing foh stoute knows all about dealing with A-list talent from rappers.

    Correct or correct?...Regardless of what ever Steve Stoute has said or done for Black artists it still would be incredible to see a biopic docu-series of his life and career. And again we as in #TheAlkebulanTrust repeat Omar Epps would be the best person to play him.

    I think Stout doesn't really get how Dolan is just a bad overall owner for the Knicks because obviously he's getting a paycheck. So the Knicks will continue to have controversy and will have trouble attracting talent to the team. By knowing how Dolan is and hearing Stout, nothing will change.
