I remember in an old interview before he was expedited back to the United States to face his crime, he said what really made him change is when a kid came up to him and asked for an autograph, he said all he could see was happiness in the kids eyes and he said that's what I want, that type of happiness he saw in the kid eyes and he began his transition. He could not find that happiness being in the industry like he saw in that kids eyes. Its hard to find happiness surrounded by darkness.

My brother Amir. I remember going to see my brother talk on an off chance whilst at uni in Manchester England. Going there under the pretence of his bad boy days. Hearing him talk touched me differently and I think everyone in attendance felt the same. Just being in his presence you felt spiritualy lifted (eeman) its difficult to explain. May Allah azza wajjal keep him steadfast and firm upon the deen and may he be successful in all his endeavour especially with regards to prison reforms. Were here supporting you across the pond.

I really hope you find the right man for you who’d never do you wrong. But you do realize that when his wife married him he wasn’t Ameer just yet, he was Loon. Ameer only came after Islam and I mean the true understanding of orthodox Islam not the one of both extremes. I’m not saying the brother was a horrible person before accepting Islam but Islam brought out the good in him and amplified it while taking away the bad things from his past and he’s still improving. I say that to say this, Ameer is a prime example for all of us to look into Islam properly to know peace in this world and the hereafter. I really do wish you the best.

Him being a Muslim has nothing to do with it. That's like saying you have to be a Muslim to understand what's going on. Which isn't true. His faith is what grounded him. He needed something to ground himself after all the things he's been through. That's it. I'm not a religious person at all yet I'm just as knowledgeable as him. My eyes have always been open. When you're in touch with yourself and stay true to who you are at your core. Seeing reality isn't that hard or hard at all. He choose to do it with religion And it works for him due to him finding a faith that's aligned with his spirit. He could've been apart of any religion as long as it agreed with him, he'd prosper. Some people take part in things that aren't for them and it destroys them. Every ain't for everybody.

I remember going to the masjid for farja prayer in Seattle and Amir before he was locked up. During that time he just took his Shaadada , he seemed well grounded in Islam during that time. I took my kids to hear him speak at the masjid. May Allah protect and keep the brother guided. Ameen
