National Mall Washington DC | Walking a loop

State #__: Washington DC - Not a state, but we couldn't pass it and not stop!
Again we were caught off guard. Rain all day, and 8 miles of walking.
We had no idea the National Mall was so large! Unfortunately, we couldn't go inside a lot of the building because of Olympia, but we still got to see most of the major sites as we made our 8 mile loop.
Pro tip - pre-book your parking before you arrive in DC. Parking is very limited, and if you pre-book, you don't have to worry about it.
