- Wabic Tower does not exist anymore and got it's name for the two roads that crossed it's diamond, Wabash and Illinois Central. Today the diamond is used by NS and CN with NS having a good sized yard in Decatur. First train is a short line Decatur and Illinois Eastern which took over operations when CSX left about two years ago. Next is NS Triple Crown Roadrailer #256, it's counterpart #255 are the only roadrailers still in service. After a couple of switching moves over the diamond a SB crosses Wabic and a NB Local approaches shortly after the SB. A NB empty potash train with UP and CP power crosses the diamond, then my last train of the day a CN manifest heads north into it's yard. Comment like and subscribe and thanks for watching!
Thanks for a Much Longer video. I visited Decatur, IL, when I was Kid since a friend of my Dad’s lived there with his family and both of them served in the Korean War together. Paul Simon also served with them and later became a US Congressman. 👍
Cool!
Very Unique Catch with the Triple Crown Trailer Trucks. It’s been a long time since I saw them. 👍 If I’m not mistaken, they are something which are unique to the Norfolk Southern Railroad. 👍
UP tried it for a while but gave up, in the 90s you could see some Of their trailers on NS train. They were silver and NS were white,
Excellent video wow and a high hood that's like a cherry on top 😀 thanks for sharing
You are welcome and thanks for watching!
Interesting - I would think roadrailers were more efficient, but then I am a novice at this stuff :) Nice meet - both trains retreating and a meet with a single as well. WOW a bunch of trains! Thank you for the cool views - takes a fair amount of time to catch them all :)
I was there about 6 hours, could have caught more but a long trek home.
Enjoyed it all Jeff thanks for sharing
Thank you Ed!

Jeff Toft Your welcome.
If you heard any horns coming from inside Tate & Lyle, that's RJ Corman doing their thing. I have some videos on my channel of what we did, I should probably upload some more
That would be great Joseph!
Where are the vehicle frames made and where are they going.? Thanks,
Not sure on that info.
