    What grows hair?
    ✅Commitment
    ✅Consistency
    ✅Care (being extremely gentle)
✅Cleansing (solid scalp and hair cleansing regimen)
✅Crops (crops (vegetables), overall diet, ample water
Hair is constantly growing, but must be maintained to thrive. (Cleansing, grooming)
I have used these ingredients to help me achieve waist length hair. In addition, you must keep your hair in protective styles (twists, braids) for long periods of time. (3 - 4 weeks at a time etc) practice gratefulness, positive mindset, excellent diet, proper sleep, consistency, exercise, gentle detangling, no heat at all (my experience), daily oiling of hair ends , deep scalp massage, diy natural mild shampoos and deeply moisturizing diy conditioners, practice mindfulness and lower stress. The results are my own. All results vary. Hair does not grow long overnight. Average hair growth is 6 inches a year. I started my natural hair journey 10 years ago but had many setbacks as it took many years of research and trial and error to find methods/products that worked for me. Of the 10 years, it took me roughly 4 years to achieve waist length hair.
More insight: I’m a non-smoker and do not drink alcoholic beverages, nor do I take any medications.

Tia, what do you recommend for mid shaft splits? They’re all over my 4a head of hair. I’m seriously considering shaving my head and starting over. 😢how is my hair supposed to continue to grow and be healthy when I feel the the fairy knots and splits all over.

    • @tialynn1111
      @tialynn1111  10 месяцев назад +2

What do you think caused the splits?
Heat? Dryness? Styling? Lack of a routine, inconsistency? Observe what the cause is and stop doing that.
Your hair may need protein as well as a good moisture routine. I wouldn’t recommend just cutting all your hair off.
Assess the areas where the splits are, you may need a good trim, and to nurture your hair with deep moisture treatments, natural protein treatment (1x a month) and high quality oils.
Most of all, leave your hair alone. (no heat, no tension pulling styling/gels etc) assess your diet and stress levels, don’t worry about it and start today in implementing a solid hair regimen and within a year’s time your hairs health should be restored, as you are nurturing the 6inches of hair within that year that is coming fresh, out of your roots today💕

@@tialynn1111 i read a study that brush, comb, and stretching can lead to the mid shaft splits. I do all of this. I saw your video that said to stop brushing but it’s so hard to detangle when I wash without my Felicia Leatherwood brush-i feel this may be pulling my hair out too.
I made a big no-no after shaving my head last time and didn’t trim anything for 1.5 years. A lot of hair was cut at the salon and since then I go every 6-8 weeks for a light blow dry and trim. I still have split ends and of course the mid splits no matter what. Ive stopped wash & go’s and recently wear a twist out that i achieve using my rev-air dryer.
I’ve been watching your videos and really think I need implement some of the deep moisturizing treatments you use. I probably need to go back to braids and wearing a head wrap for some time.. I guess I was feeling like what is the point because my shaft is already damaged so :(
I follow a plant based diet and when I got my labs last year the doctor and plant based nutritionist said my levels were normal. Definitely stressing over my hair though.
Thank you for this thoughtful response. I will take what you’ve said into consideration.
