- You heard that right! I'm opening a community darkroom in East Texas. We are a real deal 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. The name is Piney Woods Darkroom, and our fundraising drive is happening NOW!

I enjoy the sense of community i found with a local networking group. I'm the only one shooting film though.
Thank you!! And yeah, community is SUCH a huge boost. We improve better often, we can be more active, and we can learn faster. And even if it's just other creatives and not photographers or film photographers, at least there are common threads. I definitely want to bring more of that energy to this area.
@@JamieMPhoto i got really lucky being dragged into this group. There is a guy that has flown in twice from detroit to quiz the admins and soak up the events. He wants set something similar up in michigan.
Lots of people are looking for that sense of community.
