Her powers aren't similar to Reeds, it just seems so because she can stretch, but that's because she can alter her mass. She's actually drawing energy from another dimension when doing so. Kamala can make her who body big like Gi-ant man, which Reed can't do. She's not stretching her fists when she's making them big, she's increasing their mass. Reed and Plastic man don't change their mass, they simply stretch. Also, Terrigen Mist don't just give you superpowers, it unlocks genetic mutations that were introduced by the Kree, into the human population. Humans who don't have the genetically altered Kree DNA, will not gain powers when exposed to the mist. Just like the Celestials are responsible for the X gene in the human population.
Doesn't make sense. How many super soldiers are there? or magic users? People will not get confused between a grown white man and a brown teenage girl. Feige has already bebunked this theory and stated the power change was related to the narrative, not other MCU projects.

The difference between Kamala Khan and Mr Fantasitic was Elasticity Ability which is Kamala don't had it. For example, when Mr Fantastic use his Elasticity Ability on his arm will be longing. And back on his normal size automatically. But what Kamala had was molecular and particular changing, and her body would back into normal size as long as she wants to.
Definitely Kamala her powers don't work the same as Reeds despite what people may think or assume her power set is more vast and resilient than in anyway Reed has ever used his polymorphism abilities.... one thing is forsure I've never seen Reed fully shapshift into whole nother perso like Kamala can

My biggest issue is how the mcu affects the other marvel mediums from games to comics to promotional material. Ms marvel (polymorph) is gonna slowly be neglected as this new version gets used more often even mobile games right now like future fight or contest of champions or appearances in TV shows and cartoons will use the current MCU version 🥲
Didn’t they just give her new powers in the series and said that she still has the mutant gene and as now we don’t know exactly what’s up with her powers, these materializing of light comes from the djinn origin but no signs of mutant powers yet
To be honest the way they changed her powers and origin are going to be VERY INTERESTING for Phase 4 and 5. They no longer need Inhumans due to Disney buying Sony. Thus Marvel has full access to Mutants again. Inhumans were created due to copyright issues with Mutants being bought by Sony. So the introduction of Mutants into the MCU will probably become an end of inhumans for now at least in Earth 616, and the introduction of Mutants.

Interesting, but go back farther & you will find a Mrs. Marvel & 2 kids in The Marvel Family following the Capt. Marvel comic book series of the 1940s. These characters are just "updated" to a new generation. Otherwise, though. Good research. (you got to be old to remember those 1940s & 50s comics...I qualifya lol)
She was created by multiple brown and Muslim creatives, and she’s hugely important to plenty of young brown and Muslim comic readers. Nothing to do with white guilt. The creators wanted to create something that spoke to them and people like them, and Marvel saw an untapped market for them to sell to, it was a win-win for both, and a majority of people love the character because she’s great.

After watching The Ms. Marvel show she has become one of my favorite Marvel heroes ;-) I started reading the comics and I'm really enjoying it so far.
Her powers are different to Mr Fantastic they both stretch but she can grow and decrease in size Reed cannot do that similar yet different.

To be honest the way they changed her powers and origin are going to be VERY INTERESTING for Phase 4 and 5. They no longer need Inhumans due to Disney buying Sony. Thus Marvel has full access to Mutants again. Inhumans were created due to copyright issues with Mutants being bought by Sony. So the introduction of Mutants into the MCU will probably become an end of inhumans for now at least in Earth 616, and the introduction of Mutants.

Interesting, but go back farther & you will find a Mrs. Marvel & 2 kids in The Marvel Family following the Capt. Marvel comic book series of the 1940s. She was created by multiple brown and Muslim creatives, and she’s hugely important to plenty of young brown and Muslim comic readers. Nothing to do with white guilt. The creators wanted to create something that spoke to them and people like them, and Marvel saw an untapped market for them to sell to, it was a win-win for both, and a majority of people love the character because she’s great.
