Your new rotation is really working well for you! Your finishes all look amazing, especially your Strawberry piece. The frame you picked was worth the wait!
Oh Sandi, your picture and framing job is just beautiful. Now you have the self confidence and will continue to do even more framing. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful week.
I absolutely use glass in any pieces that will be out for awhile because of dust, insects, etc. During the last 2 years or so, I unframed, cleaned and reframed over 50 pieces that my sister and I had stitched since the late 70's-2000. We have zero smokers and very few we're in our kitchens. But, believe me, time, dust and insects were not kind to those pieces!!! I enjoy your videos, Girlfriend!
Thank you, yes Ive seen other people’s cross stitch ruined by dust and bugs. I don’t expect mine to be around for hundreds of years but I do want it to last and look beautiful while I’m still here!
Great floss tube, thanks Sandi. I’m not reading right now, but I have tons of books to read! I love your finishes, so cute. In spring time, enjoy the balloon in the sky, and see the daffodils in the ground. The best! Take care🤗🧵🪡
Great to see you back, I am re-reading my Harry Potter collection, I can see the tips of the daffodils starting to push up through the earth, a sure sign that spring is coming.
My youngest son loves Harry Potter. I just never could get interested in them but because of my son we have a full book set and have watched all of the movies lol
I am loving all the stitching, such good projects! That Teresa Kogut piece looks like a photograph!❤ I can’t wait to read along with Sara’s club! I love to read all kinds of books, but mostly like romantic suspense or murder mystery!
Great finish on your Theresa Kogut you are such a talented lady, Daffodils were my mum's favourite flowers, and I love anything yellow, I recently picked up a full set of Roald Dahl, James and the giant peach has always been my favourite, I could read it over and over.
Thanks for the kind shoutout 🥰 Congrats on the finishes and framing!! I need to get some of your FFO mojo! I’m just about to finish Priscilla’s City valentines- I added purple. And did the big hearted tiny town and changed almost all the floss🤷♀️ more pink is always good💕
I enjoyed your latest flosstube as always. I am a retired teacher,I would never had been able to stitch as much as you do when I was teaching! My daffodils are poking out of the ground, what a pleasant sign of spring. I'm still waiting in PA for some snow. I would love to know the color changes you made on your October stitch. It is too bright for me too. Thank you. Enjoy 100 day, that was always fun in first grade for me and my students.
The colors I swapped out for Autumn Love are I took out 597 and 598 because they were too bright of blues. The 2 colors Im using instead are 520 and 522. The 100th day was a blast!
Hi Sandi! Thx for the video. Hope you aren’t getting sick. I always love your projects but the finishes are so pretty. I’m currently stitching the Parker stocking for our grandson. Already stitched the Elizabeth stocking for our granddaughter. The fibers absolutely “do not break” or have any issues on that fabric. Vonna finished my stockings for me. And she’s done a couple of those stockings as well for her and her husband so far. They’re fun to stitch. I ordered the fabric to finish it if and all the charms. And I’m hoping to hook up with Heidi so I can maybe join her stitching group. Thx for doing all of that!
You did a beautiful job of both stitching & framing of your “Teresa Kogut” design. I think Teresa would appreciate it if you sent her a photo of it. Please keep up with your floss tube. I really enjoy it. You do a tremendous amount of stitching that gives me encouragement!
Love watching your Chanel and seeing all the beautiful things you stitch. My last book was Where the crawdads sing by Delia Owens. Balloons are fun to have.
I'm reading "6 Wives...The Queens of Henry VIII....it Big, but good....Balloon is amazing and Daffodils are beautiful....thanks for sharing as always...please take care
I enjoy the stitch exchange but am a very slow stitcher. I totally underestimated how long something small would take. I like the idea of seasons and thought about spring animals.
I love your wee cardinal, we don't have them here, he is super sweet. I love to read at the minute I am reading Carol Matthews, I have read a few of hers, they are just easy reading, not too taxing on the brain. Nothing nicer and a big bunch of daffodils in a vase.
One of my goals this year is to read/ listen to at least one book a month! This will be helpful in finding new books! The last book I read was The good daughter by Karin Slaughter . Currently listening to 1st to Die by James Patterson. I am ready for spring when I can sit outside and enjoy nature! I’m Ready for spring and to see the daffodil bloom and enjoy the hot Balloon races right before derby here in Kentucky!!!! daffodile
Awesome finishes, love seeing what you come up with for finishing. I am rereading The Half-Stitched Amish Quilt Club by Wanda Brunstetter. I love the easy to read or listen to stories about the Amish. Balloon Daffodils Happy Stitching Patty
Yellow is my favourite colour , so there are many many daffodils in my garden, love your strawberry piece and your finishing, that the bit I really struggle with, I am a big fan of the Irish wtiters Patricia Scanlan, Sheelagh O'Flanaghan etc and I reading P,Scanlon's lastest which I had been saving until I read what was on my night stand.
Daffodils are my favorite flower since my birthday month is March. I’m currently reading “To Love And Be Loved: A personal portrait of Mother Teresa” by Jim Towey. Nice video. Thank you.
Hello Sandi I haven’t been reading in awhile however, years ago I did read with Oprah’s book club. Your finishes are beautiful as with your whips. I really want to pick up Blooming tiny town. It would been so fun to take a balloon ride. Be Well
Wow what a great video . Lots of beautiful finishes and love the way you are working your wips . I would love to join you on your zoom if possible . I was on my first one last week and just loved it . I will send an email to you . I have been stitching everyday and making some progress . Just finished my 3rd valentine and a few more of these and then on to spring . You take care and hope you get a lot of stitching in .I do not read books anymore but would love to ride in a hot air 🎈
Great job as usual I absolutely love your stitching the daffodils will be blooming before we know it it will be time, and I’ve always wanted to go up in a hot air balloon, but I’m afraid I’ll get sick and that sounds wonderful about the thread. Somehow I need to get involved in some of these things, and I would like to do that and also when you do the ornament exchange this coming year I would love to do that also
Balloon, daffodills. I am currently reading a book by Finnish author Sirpa Kähkönen. It is a series of books and it is written by a dialect that is used where I was born and lived until I was 19 y.o. I miss hearing that dialect and I miss the scenaries there.
You have every reason to be proud! I think even Teresa Kogut would be pleased. I'm currently reading Spare by Prince Harry. Just started, so don't know if I can recommend it yet. daffodils
Your cardinal looks great! Theme ideas ☆"Buzzy Bee" bumble bee theme. ☆"Life's a beach" underwater or beach stitches. ☆"Stitch a sampler" exchange. ☆"A little bird told me..." stitch something with a bird. ☆Stitch anything other than an ornament ☆"Save my spot" Stitch a bookmark exchange.
I’m with you on rainy days, I love the rain. I always stitch in front of a window so I can see. Would you share the name of the fabric you used on the winter house behind you, please? I have the pattern and the house. You’ve inspired me to get my pattern out and stitch it.
The current book I’m reading is Most Wanted by Lisa Scottoline, excellent! The balloon is so pretty. I’ve not tried audio books yet, perhaps should. Do you remember the name of the pattern on your mantle with the house, snow covered roof and the two red cardinals?
I just finished Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney, kinda twisty also reading Sign Here by Claudia Lux, funny and entertaining. Waiting to see what my book club is going to choose for Feb. And I happen to have Book of Cold Cases too... I really like the Balloon :)
Sandi - Just found you, and we have so many of the same projects - either done or on the list. The snowman sampler (Homespun Elegance I think) I have done and I'd love to do the piece that you have next to it: the house saying "Winter". Could you please let me know who the designer is. thank you
