every problem you had for osrs can be fixed with runelight there is a Hd plugin and a dynamic weather plugin that adds new age graphics and fog rain storms ect. both games are sandbox mmos if you have somone telling you where to go all of the time where is the fun in that and rs3 has a crazy amount of mtx where osrs really has none
As a Veteran of both games I would Highly suggest you check out the quests. They are what give Runescape its charm and forces you to explore the world as well
IDK about the newer one but you didn't actually do any quests in OSRS. That combat vs gatherer path, and the tasks? That was just to help guide new players a bit more after they get off tutorial island, and to give them some free gear upgrades to get a head start.
@@ThisisNasko Oh yeah, it definitely doesn't hold your hand perfectly. There's an activity advisor in the top right that gives suggestions. There's the lumbridge guide to point your way to quests. There's Johnny or whoever who gives you rewards for the tasks you were doing. There's quest indicators on the map, and the quest list tells you where to start any given quest and what the requirements are.
I've been playing off and on since 2006 and this is some of my favorite type of content to watch. Hopefully you stick with Old School Runescape and make more content in the future!
Oh! And OSRS is unique in its content creator scene exploiting its simplicity to essentially design their own game modes. Ironman. Ultimate ironman. Tileman. Chunkman. Regionlocked accounts. And in the spirit of that, Jagex runs their own temporary game modes every year with faster progression, game breaking unlocks, and tons of achievements to hunt. Leagues 5 starts in November.
7:41 lol thats what everyone thinks at first but late game the combat becomes more difficult than any mmo iv ever played id compare it to dark souls where one small mistake you die in 1 hit they are constantly adding crazier bosses and raids to the game i can recommend some stuff for you to watch if you want the only reason im not right now in this comment is incase you want to play the game completely blind without knowing whats next because that is the magic of a new game to some people i will say tho i would watch you play osrs anytime you upload it the osrs community is 84% bigger than the rs3 community for example on osrs there is 130k players on at any given time and for rs3 15-20k so yea osrs is way more popular and for good reason its just a way better game in almost every way
I really like the video idea, you just have to atleast play 20 hours of osrs to have an complete opinion, so maybe do like a little series where you continue playing.
Welcome to Runescape. I love this game. Been playing for 20 years. RS3 is the original game, it's not new school. RS3 is definitely the better game. But that's just my nostalgia talking. You can put the bow on your back.
@@johnbalkin8223 hardly, you cant buy keys on osrs, rs3 is for the weak, utter trash game, cant claim rs3 is the original game either, eoc ruined the original game
@@johnbalkin8223 that’s a VERY minor form of it. Some would say it’s nearly non existent. Even if you buy bonds you still have to level up skills to max. Can’t just treasure Hunter straight to max.
@Euro2005mc In RS3. The only direct form of XP are lamps. All the other forms of MTX do require a level of training. I hate MTX. If we want to put a end to MTX. We need to figure out what is and is not MTX. Bonds are MTX.
Thank you guys for the awesome comments, all the tips and tricks for OSRS and RS3! I appreciate every one of you.

Would love to see more of your journey! Rarely see anyone new to OSRS who makes vids learning the game
@@motogye6363 i appreciate you watching, i would definitely make more Runescape content soon!
Osrs>Rs3! Have fun on your journeys!
Also if you do buy membership on your account, it will be on OSRS and RS3. ❤

@@basedriff i liked RS3 more cause its more modernized i guess. But the old school one is nice too

It’s a shame leagues is only 6 weeks this time around, Hope there’s enough time to get decent points.

Great. I love rs3.
Haha was going to ask for this. Playing this as a kid.

You can put the bow on your back.
RS3 is definitely NOT the better game. Any game you can microtransaction to max is a bad game with a major flaw.
@@Euro2005mc You have Ironman mode, which stops you from interacting with MTX. OSRS contains Bonds which is MTX,

Wasting company resources to add pronouns which no one cares about surely is a good usage of time.
