Learn Chinese with Rita Way ahead of you hahah, already on it! I have a question though.. do you know if we are able to turn on Chinese subtitles but WITHOUT the pinyin? I’m trying to move away from pinyin and really get used to reading only characters. It doesn’t seem like there is an option to do this though. Would you know of a way?
If you have Disney + they have a mandarin dub for most of everything on there as well. It’s fun to watch movies I’ve loved since I was little in Chinese. ^^
@@Deibi078 it’s a little strange at first hearing Ariel or Aladdin speak mandarin…but if you know basic sentence structure and you know (pretty much) what’s going to be said in English anyway, it becomes *way* easier to pick up words you didn’t know before. ^^
I watch so many Chinese dramas lol The Untamed, Word of Honor, Eternal a love of Dream, the Blue Whisper, Ancient Love Poetry, to name a few. :) it does help with listening and you pick up how the language is spoken.
You just made my Mandarin learning world a much better place! I just checked out the option to export into Excel. Now I have a hardcopy of the whole script! I use LLN for a few days but couldn't find any information at which location LLN saves! I went through all the info materials! I want to go through a whole movie, subtitles by subtitle. There's a good chance that Netflix removes the movie from the catalogue before I finish! Now, after having found another source for the movie I still can finish without depending on Netflix! It is really an amazing tool! I did what LLN does with music software, word and excel in the early 2000s for my English learning and it cost me hours and days! That's public education at its best! Thank you! 🤗💐❤
i think the tool its not available anymore :'v or maybe just in my country hahaha, but thanks for the recomendations! Just an update, the name of the tool is now "Language Reactor", in the description says its former name was "Lenguaje Learning with Netflix" and its also from Dioco, so i think its legit jajajajaja

As a native English speaker, I would say the characters in Game of Thrones speak more or less like modern Brits using the Received Pronunciation accent. Except Little Finger and Davos Seaworth, who both have Irish accents. I think one can definitely learn to speak British English by watching Game of Thrones. Especially considering that in medieval times, the British accents were completely different (for instance, most were rhotic back then, while most modern British are non-rhotic, with the West Country accent being among the exceptions), whereas in the show, the accents are all modern.
Anyone know where I can download movies like Knocked up onto my computer. I don't want to watch streamed movies. Is there a torrent system for Mandarin dubbed movies?

Hello Fàn, today in Netflix LLR no longer offers Pinyin subtitles and movies I already watched in Mandarin no longer offer Mandarin audio! Do you know anything about that?
Hey thanks for your comment! I just checked it out, and found that 1) it's called ""Language Reactor" now; 2) if it has Chinese subtitles or which type of subtitles it has depend on the movie/show. Like "Wandering Earth" only has traditional character subtitles, but "Nezha" has both simplified and traditional subtitles! Hope this helps!
@@RitaChinese Yes, it is language reactor. same movies I watched a few months ago + others, Chinese characters still offered but none whatsoever has PINYIN SUBTITLES nor in dictionary MANDARIN. IN ALL MOVIES PINYIN SUBTITLES GONE! Also curious: In movies where I had a few months ago 10 or more languages in the subtitle list there is now only Spanish (European) and English! Another thing that appears to be totally gone is "natural language translation " There seems to be only "technical"! But I will take a closer look at traditional characters.
@@RitaChinese (If you are interested! I have no intention to consider you as "youtube comment section LR hotline" 😉 Update: I checked "Nezha" and here LR indeed provides pinyin + Chinese characters + English paraphrasing translation AND hovering over a Chinese character opens the translation of the character WITH Mandarin audio! But the other movies I already had watched with these translations are gone!

Issue 99% teen comedy: My big problem Netflix "across the countries" (VPN) I only found tv shows in the romantic comedy genre for teenagers. Among movies I found two titles in SF plus the wonderful "The 9th precinct" which delves into the role of ancesters in Chinese culture, though I would be interested to hear from you how well they tackled this subject. On my journey to fluency in English I found tv series extremely helpful because you become familiar with the vocabulary of the characters and vocabulary that renders their environment. That means less dictionary interruptions ;-)
Watching tv series is definitely a great, and relatively fun, way to learn a language! Actually almost all Chinese video streaming platforms have RUclips channels now, so there are a bunch of shows produced by these platforms that can be found here! 从老马那边过来的,看了几个视频,最直接的感觉就是学习一种语言就是在体验一种文化。不知道你们是有意为之还是无心插柳,老马以中国人的说话习惯教英文,而你在视频里的说话方式包括语气表情手势都更接近西方人的习惯,这点非常高明
