People are up in arms over this, but it doesn't even matter. When women had to message first all they did was say "hey" and then the guy had to do all the work from there. So really this change doesn't even matter because women weren't putting in the effort anyway.
This “revamp” won't work. The reasons: - men spend the majority of the money that generates the revenue on dating apps. 90% or more on every dating app. - The vast majority of average women are shooting for above-average men. This has been replicated on every dating app based on the public data. - This leads to the majority of average men being ignored by the majority of average women. - These men who would spend money become frustrated and delete the apps. Leaving behind the men who don't have to pay anything because they are flocked with women. And the women who simply can't attract (and maintain) those men for long-term relationships and commitment. The two groups that are the least likely to spend money. Until dating apps start focusing on the people who spend the money, they will continue to lose revenue and create silly, pointless, and unimaginative “revamps”
No, this is not true, there are more women than men on dating apps. Like Tinder for example, it’s almost 80% men, so of course women are going to come across a lot more options than men. Of course they can’t swipe right on everyone it’s too many people way more men than women on these dating apps.
Giving western women exactly what they want has not worked out for a single entity, individual, group, product, or corporation in the history of ever. You may get a one off win but building off that? Never ever has worked. Never ever will work. You can't solve the problems of people who are determined to make EVERYTHING a problem!
I know how you feel, but I don't think that the typical man is "exhausted" with Bumble as he doesn't get enough matches to truly feel exhausted. The typical woman is juggling several Bumble conversations. Yes, she is probably putting in a quarter of the effort that a man does, but her experience is more likely to feel "exhausting" than his.
For guys, it’s endless swiping, very few matches, and as @truthlemonade9793 says, when a guy finally does get a match, it’s a woman with extremely high standards putting about 25% effort into the conversation. Nobody wins.

@@tigerlilly9038 Money! It’s now all about the money! Also you have to change how women are viewed by men and I think you have start with that somehow. Pretty tough in a country where religion defines what a woman is.
So because they can’t be bothered to find a way to make the first move to a guy they’re attracted to there has to be a relaunch? Who would’ve thought saying ‘hey’ or ‘hi’ would be oh soooo draining

This app is trash @bumble Men keep swiping and for every 100 swipes you might get one match that will never go anywhere because 80% women don’t even make the first move.
The vast majority of women's first messages on Bumble is some variation of "Hi," so I truly cannot bring myself to care when women say that sending the first message is "burdensome" or "another example of emotional labor foisted upon women." I think that being the CEO of Bumble seems like an incredibly easy job as far as being a CEO goes. Yes, I know that dating apps are declining, but there really aren't that many decisions to be made. Compare that with being the CEO of Ford, a hotel chain, or even owning a restaurant.
If they are tired after a few months of having to reach out first just imagine the average guy doing this everyday for generations
