  • The East Shore Trail, is a gem within Rocky Mountain National Park, offering a serene and intimate encounter with the park's eastern shoreline ecosystems and landscapes. This trail is an ideal destination for those seeking solace, particularly in the winter. The East Shore Trail meanders through dense forests of spruce and fir, opens up to meadows, and offers panoramic views of the Colorado River juxtaposed against the rugged backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Stella and started our snowshoe trek on the southern end of Shadow Mountain Lake, just below the dam, we weaved about carving out our own trail and eventually crossing the river near the AA Barn. This was from two week ago, should be plenty of snow considering a few storms rolled through.
