A 45 minute video that proved to me I was right 30+ years ago. I just drove Rigids from age 21 to 70, but i made it known, in my last 15 - 20 years that I didn't WANT to go inside the M25 and I WOULDN'T do nights. Age 83 now and this is the nearest I want to get to Lorries. (NOT Trucks, I drove Lorries!!) Good Luck in your Career, Daniel. I'm sorry to Piss on your Chips, but oldies like me had the best years in the game. It's played out now, I'm afraid. We ate proper grub like a Full English in Transport Cafes, chatting to other drivers, not pulling into some poxy Petrol Station for a Macdonalds and Starbucks Coffee and back to the cab. Nights Out at "Truck" (God, I hate that word) Stops, with a Shower and again Proper Grub, not some Lay-By full of our Continental Friends Pi - - ing and Shi - - - ing all around the place. That's enough from me,. Believe it or not, I thoroughly enjoyed my 50 years on the road, but home is a great place to be, especially at midnight.
Interesting! I have really enjoyed my time on the road. I’ve been to lots of interesting places. Places I’d never have been otherwise. I understand where you’re coming from. It’s not always fun. Unfortunately the attitude of a lot of drivers nowadays is why we probably don’t have the camaraderie of days gone by. A greater number of I’m alright jack attitudes in more recent years too. I wouldn’t have changed my career though. I imagine trucks, sorry, lorries 😅 nowadays are much better to drive (subject to opinion)! I still enjoy what I do that’s the main thing
Hi Daniel really enjoyed video reminds me of all the night work used to do when doing papers out of Wapping .Live in Crawley pity didn't know you tipping there could have had a chat keep up the videos great 👍
More videos please Daniel. I've been driving for 57 years' but' no way could you get me to drive through London ' They're all lunatics. You must have nerves of steel!.
Great to see you back Daniel. London was always the same: when youve got the right of way you have to take it. Far worse than Paris as you mentioned or even the nutcase cyclists around Centraal in Amsterdam. Looking forward to more of your great content
Daniel being from oop north a trip into London used to be exciting, now i do everything i can to avoid it ,the cameras ,the traffic ,the spandex terrorists on 2 wheels not for me pal and i only drive a van ,take my hat off to you for doing it in a truck .
I’ll try. Only reason I keep to TikTok is because most of the vids are 10 minutes long. RUclips shorts are like 2 minutes max I think, but I’ll try and find a way in the future
Not sure of the dimensions of it. But yes that’s it, the bigger your truck/trailer, and the more horse power it has, the bigger your d*ck is apparently 🤷🏾♂️🤭🤭 that’s why I’ve got the little urban trailer 😅
I moved out the Scania when I left last year. I was given the Volvo when I came back. I can’t complain, I’m happy to have a decent lorry to drive and have my job back. Hopefully I’ll be getting a Scania soon enough anyway
If you’re talking about the DVS I can assure you it is. As are all of our lorries. Big penalties for not being compliant. As much as I wish we could avoid the place
@@davidwatson6468 that’s because the windows are up the majority of the time. So you won’t hear it. It’s not very loud from inside the cab. And the camera plays through the screen on the dash, which I had admittedly switched off here. I have enough places to look and mirrors to check as it is on a Friday night in London, adding more only becomes a distraction at this point along with the glare of the screen in my face. Yet another government exercise to relieve drivers and companies of their money rather than focusing on a reasonable solution. You can put as many audible warning sirens and bleepers on trucks as you like, along with big ugly ‘warning blind spot!’ stickers. Will it stop cyclists from riding up the inside of the truck? Absolutely not
Great to have you back Daniel brilliant content as always
POV is the way forward buddy , gives you the real sense of what we have to go through. 👊😎
Good to see you back brother! You can have the C63, I'll take the Range Rover all day long! Good skills round London mate
Hi Daniel, Good to see you back.....Thanks for posting....
POV is not as sickening as the 360 camera......Thanks for sharing....cheers

Used to hate going past Euston/Kings Cross/Alwych and Old Kent rd heading for the boat in the late 70’s. Even at midnight it was manic.

Always found Paris or Rome less stressful than London, mine never bent either, 13.7 mtr coach with ski box on the arse of it.
They’re much easier when they bend! I couldn’t go back to driving rigids now!
Great to see you back👍👍
The bus lane at Piccadilly Circus has been there since at least 2012, looking on google maps it was all one way in 2008.
Not been round there in a while, I forgot what it looks like 😅
Hi Daniel Welcome back thanks for the upload
Absolutely mental Dan ! I'll stick to rural Northern Ireland mate LOL
This was a calm evening by londons standards 😂
only every drove a van in london in the day time wouldnt take an artic in during the night for any amount of money lol
Awesome video mate
More videos please Daniel.

Unfortunately a lot of our work is around London so we don’t get much choice 😅 you do get used to it, even if I never enjoy it!
Great video dan

At least i get to see the streets of central london, although the streets of central Auckland (new zealand) are nowhere near as big as london...
Great video bud! Any chance you could bring the TikTok content to RUclips shorts too? 👌🏻

Hi Daniel how do you wear a camera on your head??? Ie with a strap ?? & what type of camera??..
It’s a GoPro with a head strap 😊
Range Rover Sport SVR, 5.0 V8 and sounds bloody epic.
I would love to know what a urban tralor is in my day it was a 40 ft max is it now you’re not a driver unless you drive a 45+ mmmm

Yes had the Volvo since I came back. Hopefully will get a Scania soon 😊
How come you’re driving a Volvo, you normally seem to drive a Scania?
I moved out the Scania when I left last year. I was given the Volvo when I came back. I can’t complain, I’m happy to have a decent lorry to drive and have my job back. Hopefully I’ll be getting a Scania soon enough anyway
I’ll take London over Paris any day
Doesn't look like or sound ur lorry's set up for London

Couldn't hear the sound on the video and couldn't see a screen
