I really like those videos, only thing I don't really like is that there is just a couple huge marbles that stay on screen for way too long without doing much. An interesting idea would be to have a fixed or moving (like a black marble or something like that) object that, when hit by marbles, makes them split in half. I feel like this would reward having really high value marbles rather then just a big marble slowly moving.
The split shots will have a higher velocity though, making it more likely to randomly out a player's base
@@JustAnotherCommenter I agree, it's already petty random currently with the big ones. I think if it happens rarely enough, it shouldn't be an issue maybe? Like, I wouldn't want them to pop like a balloon and have so many smaller ones it would cover the whole board. It is about balancing really
@@JustJassCat This idea has been done before; The splitters were on the 4 edges of the map, centered. And yep, they do cover the map instantaneously. Some other method like radiation could work, I commented a while ago

The decay mechanic for big balls is interesting. Prevents them from staying forever.

The ending part of this video reveals that decay stops completely once the number falls below 100 and thus making the charged shot to freeze at 99 until it colors a spot. The shot will then end once 98 more spots are coloured.

This is why it’s better to have the smaller circle subtract from the larger if they collide.
I like experimental episodes like these, where anything can go wrong very quickly. I'd suggest something to partner this no-size-limit version:
First, ally charged shots merge and enemy charged shots annihilate.
Second, burst shots phase through ally charged shots and bounce off of enemy charged shots.
Third, gravity feature. We haven't seen this in a long time. (The gravity also affects burst shots so interesting visuals could occur)
Fourth, death stars (let's say >= 500k) emit radiation that benefit others players. This balances out its massive space advantage, even though they move slowly across the map. The radiation makes it so that it increases other players' territories' HP. The radiation also contributes to the death star's loss of mass. The larger the death star, the more radiation, the quicker loss of mass, the farther the range of the radiation effect, and the greater the radiation effect. [e.g. 500k = -100 mass / second, +1 territory HP (for others) / second]
The radiation can also last long until the shot's mass is only like 100k left for example. There's a lot of potential.

The burst shots maxing out at 4 is too small if we get like a 100k burst shot. It would take forever to shoot it all. Make it so the burst shot's hp is like 1/1000 of the remaining amount that's left in the shot. Maybe fiddle with the numbers to make it more balanced.
The yellow's burst at 11:05 is so satysfying
I like how red in survival marble races or multiply and release (hardly ever in average bouncing marble races) almost always do extreme things, and that make red staying high in the final rank or win like now
Attack concept: charged burst. Charged shot that instead of just decaying, sheds bursts that spray its surroundings.

I think that with exponential growth should come exponential decay, following more a percentage decay.

It seems the marbles may go into "patterns" causing consistently hitting certain area, unless there are enough many marbles to hit each other to introduce more randomness. First yellow to the multiply (and I think yellow seems continuously hitting multiply more than others), then red. Neither color on the left part has the same luck, they both consistently hit releases.
