The power of fluids under high pressure saves the day (those large masses of tons of small marbles act approximately like a gas, and then like a liquid when fully compacted, so boxing them in with massive ones is basically just creating a pressure washer)
It looked like some of the marbles were straight up able to jump some of the green squares because they were moving so fast, landing the kill on green.
I think it would be interesting to have a match where all contestants create a constant flow of small particles and multiply+release mechanic is only for making big orbs.
2 ideas: 1) Use another simulation for title so you can't predict who will win before clicking the video. 2) Small numbers (like 1,2 and 4) won't be shown, so they won't look like {team's color}+black color mess
Short idea for the next time: if two balls collide they lose both the half of the lower number Example: one ball with 100 and one with 300 After colliding: 50 and 250
Looks nice! Definitely like that the burst fires shots larger than power 1 now. You seem to have a bug in your firing code though -- while charging another shot, once that shot gets to a sufficient size, it affects releasing an existing charged shot. You probably want to add a variable for "team collision" that is false while the shot is charging and that switches to true as soon as the projectile is released. This is rather noticeable on Red's side starting at 11:25, while Red is charging up; note how the firing cone is altered while the 2048 shot is not yet fired: all of the projectiles from the previous burst are ejected upwards instead of as a spread.
Great video! Two things: -large marbles need to lose size faster proportionally to their size -don’t be afraid to speed up the video to even 10x speed if things are getting boring or after all players are “dead”, half the video is just watching remnants bounce around slowly degrading
Green: multiplies so much, it triggered the 100 million mass limit (from what I saw he could have reached 238 millions if I remember correctly) Red: casually warps reality, builds marble particle accelerator (now banned by the Convenction Of Marbleneva)
Red really clutched hard here. By far the unluckiest start of the 4 all the way to just the most ridiculous game of keep-away. And then fulfilling the prophecy of bad luck right at the end.
I like what you did with larger release bursts having larger particle values, but think you could increase that even more to larger values like 10 or 15 for ridiculously large release values
I know you want to make a multiply or release, but the power play between burst and charged is relatively unbalanced, due to the grid size. Maybe you could try adding instead of multiplying.
Unseen and undenoted shields, Random firings (8:00 green at 512)... I think this is scripted, or super bugged. Either way, not as fun to watch as the old stuff.
Good catch, I didn't notice that. I'll have to see what happened there. None of my videos are scripted. I do appreciate the feedback. EDIT: What happened at 8:03 is that the shot multiplies twice again to 2048, and then the incoming shot from red touches it, causing it to be consumed and the red shot to be bounced. Working as intended (I've had this shield mechanic for some time). But I might change to a shield mechanic like I have in the megapixel videos.
Idea: it’s only release with 100 marbles Idea: every time a marble lands in the multiply the multiply goes up so it starts at 2x then to 3x then 4x and the balls have no limit in size.
Peter van Looko - Galaxie I don't know why but I got removed from Spotify and RUclips, and it's nowhere to find. That's why I got happy to end up here and enjoy the song a little! ☺️
As ETA player this look like two empire fighting a long battle where their best weapon is an ancient weapon made from long lost tech I mean the first or second big ball is the biggest one so far and the last one standing
I can tell that this was the last video of Lost Marbles as his computer had to be sent into a psychological trauma ward after suffering a humongous stroke
I wonder if this was a glitch somewhere. Marbles were doing things shouldn't have been able to, like when green was got. And just massive black holes everywhere. I suggest have something like this again, but just make it where different colored balls cancel eachother for the lower value. That way you don't have too many gigantic mega balls on the field.
😐 ~ the weird outcome/result = if you look at the sides of the arena where the marbles are circulating around, and fall through bars; single shot/multiply 2x/bomb launch ~ the multiple bar is quite long causing lots of marbles to fall through it and less through the other 2 = an imbalance occurred with the ridiculously large ammunition points for the turrets/their territory’s = the turrets continuously firing & the huge bomb balls. As far as I am concerned, Green was the actual victor 🏆, despite red managing to kill the others and [Lost Marbles] himself declaring red victor, one of green’s bomb balls rolled into red’s turret killing it and leaving the red/green bomb balls rolling around the arena, eventually Lost Marbles gets impatient with the test run of this video and speeds it-up, as one of greens bomb-balls has such a huge ammunition score on it we observed red’s bomb-balls expiring with the one huge green bomb-ball rolling around the arena = green-washing it.
the fact the match was over halfway through the video is straight up unacceptable. there's no reason for the multiply section to be this wide, it allows for constant stupidly massive numbers that make it thoroughly unenjoyable. and the decay is fine, but what's the point if it would take 24h for a ball to fully decay in a 20m long video (that ended at the 10m mark anyway). maybe make it so that colliding balls decay by an equal value each that is a big percentage of either number (like 10%)
Green and Red really out here making whole continents
Fr lmao 💀
rooting for green
but then green: I HATE YOU
So who won ? Red or green ?

Did Red really just invent a marble particle accelerator?
Not only that, he created a black hole.

I really like seeing the "postmortem" victories, i.e., Red got the victory, but at the end Green still owned the board
Green: multiplies so much, it triggered the 100 million mass limit (from what I saw he could have reached 238 millions if I remember correctly)
Red: casually warps reality, builds marble particle accelerator (now banned by the Convenction Of Marbleneva)
That last part reminds me of waiting for the DVD logo to hit the corner of the screen, but with extra steps
The match ended halfway into the video, the rest was the massive marbles slowly being whittled down
The best part is that both red and green survived, and these two are both colors we see in the pfp of LostMarbles lol!
7:15 what that red one doing?
It would be interesting to experiment with a grace period, allowing a fairer chance for the victory
Red really clutched hard here. By far the unluckiest start of the 4 all the way to just the most ridiculous game of keep-away. And then fulfilling the prophecy of bad luck right at the end.

yeah, I think another video I saw used (floor(log10)) sized particles. which seemed to work pretty well.
The problem with that is the player just wins instantly

Green that made a max 99m ball😮 question: how are those big balls losing a massive amount in a such 100x100x board?
They decay a small percentage of mass over time

Idea for episode 50 it’s only release with a hundred marbles
i think you made the multiply target too wide... and why did red rotate?
I made some changes which caused the death stars to never happen at all... so I kept gradually increasing the size
You should have made it when two of the same colors hit they combined into one
Everyone, immediately getting very large spreads
Blue never gets a chance.
¿Cómo puede haber ganado el rojo cuando al final no queda ni un solo cuadrado rojo? Las condiciones de victoria igual no están muy bien definidas...
